The new edition of Armored Core is out, and it is perfect for gamers looking for adventure and immense destruction. The question most new players have in Armored Core 6 is if the game has PvP and Co–op modes. Well, there’s good news and bad news.
Key Takeaways
- Sadly, Armored Core 6 does not have a Co-Op mode because the campaign mode is intended to be played alone.
- On the other hand, Armored Core 6 does allow a PvP mode known as NEST.
- This mode is unlocked after completing the last mission of chapter 2, Ocean Crossing.
- NEST game mode allows you to battle 1v1 or 3v3 with friends or other random gamers.
Does Armored Core 6 Have Co-op?
Starting with the bad news, sadly, this game does not have co-op, and the missions can only be done alone. If you love destroying everything you see, think of it as more things to destroy.
However, even though you and your friends can’t be killer robots together during missions, the game is still enjoyable and exciting.
This news may surprise you because FromSoftware has frequently featured co-op in major games, such as Elden Ring. Sadly, you can’t join hands with your friends on defeating tough bosses.
Does Armored Core 6 Have PvP?
Moving onto the good news, Armored Core 6 has a PvP mode in the game known as NEST. So even though you can’t team up with someone, you can destroy them with missiles and artillery.
It is important to note that this feature won’t be available initially in the game. The player will have to progress to the Ocean Crossing mission of Chapter 2. Since it is the last mission of chapter 2, you’ll have to grind through the game to play with your friends.
After you have completed the mission, this prompt will appear on the screen, indicating you have unlocked PvP mode. Go to the main menu and click the NEST feature to access it. If it’s newly unlocked, it will have an ‘!’ next to it.
PvP Features
You can play from many options once you have unlocked the NEST mode. You can either play 1v1 against anyone or a team match 3v3. In addition to that, you can create your private rooms for friends or join public rooms and play with other gamers.
Furthermore, another option in PvP allows you to create a 9-player lobby consisting of 3 teams. In this mode, two teams battle against each other while the 3rd team spectates. They take turns battling each other, which keeps the PvP competitive.
All in all, it seems like FromSoftware wanted players to enjoy the campaign mode alone but also wanted to incorporate a multiplayer option in the game. The PvP mode in Armored Core 6 has received positive reviews from gamers.
My Thoughts
Personally, I really wanted a Co-op mode so I could play along with friends. However, the PvP mode is still an amazing and really fun game mode. But I believe the story mode would’ve been much easier than it is if it was Co-op mode.

I’ve been gaming since I got my PlayStation 2 back in 2008, playing all types of games from WWE, all to way to Naruto, you name it. When I’m not gaming, I’m either focusing on my Electrical Engineering degree or playing football. I absolutely LOVE multiplayer games; carrying my team is pretty fun 😉
