For players struggling in the first half of the game, here are some of the best early game parts from my experience to make the game easier. These parts are classified into Head, Core, Arms, Arms Units, Legs, Back Units, Generator, Booster, FCS, and Expansions.
Key Takeaways
- Players can equip many parts to get started with their ideal mech build.
- These parts can be mostly bought, found in chests, or as rewards.
- Better parts generally improve stability, speed, or health.
DF-GN-02 LING-TAI
EN Capacity | 2000 |
EN Recharge | 2000 |
Supply Recovery | 833 |
Weight | 3860 |
EN Output | 2340 |
The DF-GN-02 LING-TAI is a Generator and is considered one of the best early parts due to its recoverability. It has the highest supply recovery stat in the game, meaning it is the fastest generator to recover.
However, this generator reduces the amount of distance you cover per dash. It is perfect if you sacrifice some space for a shorter cooldown. I would rather have shorter cooldowns and use the boosters to extend my dashes.
You would first have to clear Destroy Artillery Installations Mission 2. Then DF-GN-02 LIN-TAI can be bought for COAM 90,000 at the Garage’s parts shop.
MA-J-200 RANSETSU-RF
Attack Power | 194 |
Impact | 245 |
Total Rounds | 375 |
Weight | 4210 |
EN Load | 158 |
The MA-J-200 is an Arms-Unit, also known as weapons. It can either be placed on the Left or Right Arm. The gun can be used for single shots by pressing the trigger.
If you hold the trigger down, a yellow bar will fill up, and the firearm will shoot in a burst when released. You can equip this weapon on both arms and use one side for bursting while the other for precise aiming.
This gun helped me do straight damage to enemies without any gimmicks or abilities. The Rifle also allowed me to stagger earlier enemies much more quickly.
You can buy the MA-J-200 RANSETSU-RF weapon at the Garage’s part shop for COAM 105,000.
FCS-G2/P05
Close-Range Assist | 45 |
Medium-Range Assist | 80 |
Long-Range Assist | 26 |
Weight | 120 |
EN Load | 232 |
The FCS-G2/P05 is a fire-controlling system. The speed at which you can lock onto targets is influenced by the Fire Control System (FCS).
It will help you go through countless enemies as you can go back in cover, come out, lock onto enemies quickly, inflict damage, and go back in cover enemies efficiently.
This will help you do constant damage without having to lose Armor Points. However, FCS-G2/P05 is heavier and has worse high-range assist than other FCS.
You can buy it for COAM 128,000 from the Parts Shop in the Garage.
BD-011 MELANDER
AP | 3230 |
Attitude Stability | 458 |
Generator Output Adj. | 105 |
Weight | 15800 |
EN Load | 304 |
As a Core part, it affects Armor and Health Points for better defense. BD-011 MELANDER’s low weight and high armor points make it the perfect contender for your core part. I would always take more hitpoints, but I also need my Mech light for quick moves.
Its high armor point will help you withstand early enemies and better your learning experience when you are inefficient in combat.
Unlock the shop by completing Mission 2: Destroy Artillery Installations, then make purchases. It can be purchased for COAM 195,000 at the Parts Shop of the Garage.
HD-012 MELANDER C3
AP | 970 |
Attitude Stability | 416 |
System Recovery | 95 |
Weight | 3300 |
EN Load | 165 |
The HD-012 MELANDER C3 is a Head part, that pilot uses to see or scan the field. A better head part can decrease stagger every time you get hit or might improve scanning to make it easy to find hidden things.
HD-012 offers increased defense and stability but at the expense of added weight. Again, I prefer this Head for its reasonable weight and a good amount of armor.
It is ideal for midweight build usage. This Head is rewarded upon completing Mission 1: Illegal Entry in Chapter 1.
VP-20s
EN Capacity | 2500 |
EN Recharge | 833 |
Supply Recovery | 434 |
Weight | 3800 |
EN Load | 3200 |
VP-20s is another generator you can choose for your build if you don’t want to go for the DF-GN-02. If you don’t have a sound generator, you must equip other parts with low EN, which will generally downgrade your build.
To avoid all of the above issues with your build, you should consider getting VP-20s for the early game. It is very lightweight and has a higher EN output than most generators. In addition, it has an average EN capacity and low EN recharge.
To get this generator complete, Training Mission: Intermediate Support 1: Assembling an AC.
DF-BA-06-XUAN-GE
Attack Power | 895 |
Impact | 980 |
Total Rounds | 78 |
Weight | 5480 |
EN Load | 240 |
The Bazooka DF-BA-06-XUAN-GE can be equipped on either or both arms. This weapon fires a high-impact round that detonates on impact with the enemy. Additionally, this weapon has homing capabilities that will track a target until it performs a precise dodge. You can equip a bazooka on both arms and go all-out on the attack, but it is recommended to equip a melee weapon or other high-fire rate weapon for different scenarios.
Although the Bazooka has limited long-range capabilities, it is a formidable weapon in close combat, enabling you to annihilate enemies. However, it would be best to consider the weapon’s low ammo and ability to damage your enemies’ surroundings. It can be purchased for COAM 70,000 at the Parts Shop of the Garage.
The Bazooka is my favorite weapon to bring out to most boss fights. However, I recommend only this if your opponent is tanky and slow.
DF-LG-08 TIAN-QIANG
AP | 4200 |
Attitude Stability | 825 |
Load Limit | 82600 |
Weight | 23600 |
EN Load | 400 |
The DF-LG-08 TIAN-QIANG is a Bipedal Leg type, which are default legs that provide a balanced mix of ground and air combat capabilities. It is an excellent early part because its high 4200 Armor Points boost your Mech’s Health.
DF-LG-08 TIAN-QIANG has a low load limit, which prevents you from equipping heavy equipment. It can be purchased for a high amount of COAM 350,000 at the Parts Shop of the Garage.
HI-32: BU-TT/A
Attack Power | 963 |
Impact | 710 |
Consecutive Hits | 2 |
Weight | 1800 |
EN Load | 213 |
The HI-32: BU-TT/A is a pulse blade melee weapon aiding in significant offensive. Surprisingly, being an early-game weapon, it can deal up to 900 damage in a single hit, hitting the enemy twice.
When facing challenging situations, the Pulse Blade can be your go-to weapon, as it can take down most enemies with just one shot. It is also lightweight and convenient to use against powerful bosses.
My best strategy with this melee weapon is to hit the enemy from behind or wait for the stagger meter to be filled and then move in for severe damage.
You don’t need to use your COAM to get the HI-32: BU-TT/A weapon. It’s automatically given to you at the start of the game.
AR-012 MELANDER C3
AP | 2010 |
Arms Load Limit | 13100 |
Firearm Specialization | 128 |
Weight | 12300 |
EN Load | 232 |
AR-012 MELANDER C3 is another Arm part to hold weapons. The AR-012 MELANDER C3 boasts a high firearm specialization of 128. Firearm specialization improves the abilities of your already equipped weapons.
It is lightweight, which makes it easier for the AC to move around and attack faster. A low load limit of only 12000 is its only limitation, which prevents you from equipping better weapons with higher weight.
SI-24: SU-Q5
Damage Mitigation | 45 |
Impact Dampening | 25 |
Deployment Range | 180 |
Weight | 2010 |
EN Load | 220 |
The SI-24: SU-Q5 is a Back Unit that can only be equipped on the left side. Players generally equip the suitable back unit with a weapon and the left rear unit with a shield. SI-24: SU-Q5 is a pulse shied used to protect your Mech.
Upon activation, it will deploy a shield, which destroys incoming bullets. This protects your health and gives you an advantage when facing hoards of enemies.
It is a significant part to have when fighting enemies; one must take a break to recharge. You can activate the shield, restore it, and return to battle. The SI-24 can be bought for 43,000 COAM, which is considerably cheaper than other parts.
DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG
AP | 4100 |
Attitude Stability | 629 |
Generator Output Adj. | 114 |
Weight | 20650 |
EN Load | 388 |
The DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG is the second Core on the list. I cannot emphasize enough how important the Core is to the whole build, as the Core connects every part of the build.
This essential part significantly boosts your AP and defenses, making it an excellent choice for defeating formidable enemies in the game’s early stages. It is beneficial when facing optional mini-bosses that can reward you with valuable logs.
The DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG also increases your attitude stability immensely, lowering your stagger when you take hits and increasing your Energy output.
It can be purchased for COAM 390,000 after completing Mission 2.
My Thoughts
During my 20-plus hours with Armored Core 6, I went through several Mech builds, all of which became my favorite. I recommend players play around with the Mech building mechanic in this game and create a Mech that defines them. You can also consult this guide to select the best parts for your gameplay.
