If you have ever manifested living in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a nuclear outbreak, then surely Duke O’Death is the kind of vehicle you would like to drive. It is a custom variant of the baseline Dukes that was added to the game as a part of the Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit DLC update. It gets its design inspiration from the legendary 1968-1970 Dodge Charger.

The Duke O’Death features a supercharged V8 engine providing high torque and top speed, with better acceleration and speed than the regular Dukes. However, it tends to oversteer at high speeds and has poor brakes, which can be upgraded at Los Santos Customs. The car has high durability, and crash deformation is minimal. It can withstand ramming but can be destroyed by Sticky Bombs or a direct hit from the Rhino’s cannon.

With the 100% Armor upgrade, it can withstand a Sticky Bomb but is easily destroyed by crash impact or small arms gunfire. The louvers in its windows make it difficult to perform side drive-bys and fire rearward. It can outrun other armored cars and has virtually bulletproof armor when fully upgraded, except for the driver’s window. The louvered windows also make it difficult to drive in first-person view.

Imponte Dukes

For all those who cannot get enough of the magical era of the 70s, the Imponte Dukes is surely a treat that can take into the realm of nostalgia. Based on the classics of the 70s like the Dodge Charger, 1968 or 1969 Pontiac LeMans, the 1967-1969 Firebird, and the 1967-1969 Firebird this bi-seater muscle car has been a part of GTA 5 since the release of the game. Previously it has also been featured in GTA IV.

The Dukes’ performance remains almost unchanged except for the stiffer handling, which improves acceleration and stability but not landing after jumps. GTA V’s vehicle damage fixes increase the car’s durability and reduce deformation, oversteering, spinning out, and stopping distances. The engine is the same as in GTA IV, but with more detail and a loud sound shared with other muscle cars in the game.

Vapid Ellie

Has the Dominic Torreto inside you awakened and you are looking for the perfect muscle car to satisfy your “need for the speed”? Then my friend you are in the right place because a muscle car never gets better than this beast called Ellie from Vapid Motors. Based on real-life muscle cars like the 1967 Ford Mustang/Shelby GT500,1965 Shelby Mustang GT350R, and the 1971 Plymouth Barracuda, Ellie has been a part of GTA 5 since 2018’s Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series DLC update.

The Ellie has decent performance, but it falls short compared to other top muscle cars in the game. It has good traction, moderate acceleration, and an acceptable top speed. However, it is prone to spinning out easily when taking sharp turns and its brakes are not powerful enough to keep up with faster muscle cars.

If you are a Nicolas Cage, then it is impossible that you haven’t seen his classic action thriller “Gone in 60 seconds“. In the movie Nic drives a cool Shelby GT500. Digital Car Addict on Youtube has created a custom build guide to turn your Vapid Ellie into Nic Cage’s Shelby GT500. You can follow this customization guide here:

The vehicle features all four advanced flags, including shorter shift rates, fluctuating revolutions, and excessive suspension bounce. It is powered by a single-cam V8 engine with a 5-speed gearbox in a front engine, rearwheel drive layout, and shares its engine sound with other muscle cars in the game. It is surely worthy of inclusion in the list when talking about the “best wheelie car in GTA 5”.

Willard Faction

As Rockstar Studios says, Faction is the muscle car for the young studs who cannot afford the expensive muscles instead they buy it and hire a Mechanic to upgrade it. It became a part of GTA 5 when 2015’s Lowriders DLC update was released. Its major design inspiration comes from the classic 1982-1987 Buick Regal,

The Faction is equipped with a powerful single overhead camshaft turbocharged V8 engine, featuring a central air intake and a turbocharger at the bottom left. Its performance is average, with slow acceleration and poor traction, making it challenging to drive up steep gradients. The braking is satisfactory, and the top speed is acceptable. It is surely worthy of inclusion in the list when talking about the “best wheelie car in GTA 5”.

Albany Hermes

Hermes is the exotic coupe car that was the everyday ride of every affluent person in the era of the 60s. This 2-door wheelie car was added to GTA Online as a part of the 2017’s The Doomsday Heist DLC update. It gets its design inspiration from old-school classics like the third-generation Buick Super, the Fabulous Hudson Hornet, the Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and the Holden Efijy.

Moreover, it holds a significant place in the GTA Universe as it has been previously a part of multiple GTA installments including GTA: San Andreas and GTA: Vice City.

The Hermes boasts a stable and comfortable ride due to its air-ride suspension, although its length and shape hinder quick maneuvers, which is a minor issue given its purpose. While its weight limits acceleration and causes wheelspin, it remains steady even on unpredictable winter roads. However, its top-heavy build makes it prone to flipping over when cornering, including on flat roads or when hitting a curb.

The Hermes’ suspension raises during forward motion and lowers when stationary, which could cause issues on uneven surfaces. This was addressed in the Arena War update, with the car now raising when the handbrake button is held. It is surely worthy of inclusion in the list when talking about the “best wheelie car in GTA 5”.

Vapid Hotknife

HotKnife is a beast hotrod and it is one of the vehicles with which you cannot tell whether it is a vintage vehicle or something from the future. “Steampunk” is the correct word to describe it because it has all the looks of the classic hotrods of the 30s and the heavy performance of modern cars. HotKnife is based on the real-life 1933 Ford Model 40B and has also been previously featured in GTA: San Andreas.

Just like Vapid Hustler, which is another significant hotrod in the game, Vapid HotKnife also carries a V8 engine that can allow it to acquire a top speed of up to 140 km-h or 86.99 mph. Moreover, talking about its weight, it is even lighter than Hustler and it weighs only 700 kg / 1543 lbs. Its handling is not so great but you might face problems of understeering frequently.

Its crash endurance and durability are pretty great and it can withstand a great deal of damage. It is surely worthy of inclusion in the list when talking about the “best wheelie car in GTA 5”.

These muscle cars are surely going to give you the smoothest and most perfect wheelies. Muscle cars have powerful engines with immense power and can hit amazing top speeds. You can also check out some of the fastest muscle cars in GTA 5 by visiting our guide GTA 5: Fastest Muscle Car [Top 10].

Vapid Hustler

Hustler is so powerful that is literally “a powerhouse” roaming the streets. And it is the ultimate gangsta hotrod vehicle of the 20s that almost every gangster used to keep. It has been previously a part of GTA: San Andreas and Rockstar Games introduced it in GTA Online in 2018 as a part of The Doomsday Heist DLC update. Hustler is also significant in the way that it is based on the real-life 1933/1934 Ford ‘five’ window coupe which is one the oldest cars in the game.

Hustler is powered by a powerful big-block V8 engine equipped with Double-Barrel Carburetors that allows it to attain a decent top speed. Moreover, it comes with a very light design. Its traction is truly exceptional but you might occasionally face some handling issues like oversteering while driving. Its durability and collision resistance are exceptional and it can serve as a perfect getaway vehicle.

Declasse Impaler

Every muscle car lover can confidently say that modern muscle cars no matter how stylish and fancy they are, lack the charisma of old-school muscle cars. So, if you are looking for that old-school muscle having a complete package of luxury, power, and style then Impaler from Declasse Motors is one of your best options. Based on legendary real-life muscles like the 1967 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe and 1967 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe, this exotic car was introduced in GTA Online as a part of the Arena War DLC update in 2018.

Its single-cam V8 engine powers its rear wheels and can allow it to achieve great top speeds. Moreover, it comes with a slightly heavier design. Impaler comes with average handling which will not give you any problems in most cases. But sometimes you may find it difficult to maintain balance while taking sharp turns. Moreover, its durability is quite good and it can take a lot of damage before it fails to function properly.

Albany Lurcher

You have guessed right that it is the same vehicle that you see at every funeral carrying the casket of the departed. It is because the legacy of this vehicle has been forgotten. But now you have the chance to make a change or as Rockstar Games says “make a statement that nobody wants to hear”. And to do so modify it and take it out to perform some of the most badass wheelies.

This hearse was added to the game as a part of the Halloween Surprise DLC update in 2015 and it draws its design idea from the real-life 1967 Cadillac Funeral Coach.

Moreover, due to its rigid and heavy design, it is also fairly durable and performs greatly in crash deformation. It is surely worthy of the title of “best wheelie car in GTA 5”.

Imponte Phoenix

Imponte Phoenix is hands down one of the best muscle cars to perform wheelies. Phoenix is a part of GTA 5 since its initial 2013 release. Its design is based on the real-life 1977 Pontiac Trans Am and has some design similarities with cars like the 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro and the 1970-1973 Chevrolet Camaros.

This rear-wheel drive car comes with a little heavier weight. And its V8 turbo engine can give you a decent top speed and commendable acceleration. But the major downside with Phoenix is its poor handling. Its design has a poor weight distribution due to which you will face multiple problems including fishtailing, oversteering, and even occasional spin-outs while driving.

Moreover, its crash durability is also not very great. All of this is enough to conclude that Phoenix is not something that you would like to take out for racing. But if you need a stylish car to casually cruise and roam around the city and maybe perform some wheelies to show off, then it can be the ideal option for you. This is enough to say that it is worthy of being called the “best wheelie car in GTA 5”.

Bravado Rat Truck

If you are not surprised easily, then be ready to be surprised because this beast of a truck, despite its gloomy look, it is going to give you a drive you will truly cherish. This 30s-themed pickup truck is the Rat Truck from Bravado Motors. It got featured in GTA Online in 2014 as a part of the Festive Surprise DLC update. And it gets its design inspiration from the real-life 1946 Dodge Power Wagon, the 1940 International Harvester D2, and the 1920s Ford Model A truck.

Rat Truck can be considered an advanced version of the standard Rat Loader in GTA 5. Its top speed is pretty great for a vehicle of this category. Moreover, it possesses a heavy and rigid exterior design. Its acceleration can also be seen to have been improved from the standard Rat Loader. Moreover, it is fairly durable and can withstand a reasonable amount of damage before rendering it useless.

Classique Stallion

Stallion is a charming muscle car from Classique Motors that holds an elegance unlike any other muscle car in the whole GTA Universe. It has been featured in almost all the GTA installments and also has been a part of GTA 5 since its initial 2013 release. Stallion is itself a classic muscle car and it owes its design inspiration to real-life classics like the 1969/1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass,  1968-1970 Pontiac GTO, and the 1st generation Ford Mustang.

Stallion’s top speed is not so bad for a muscle car. But one thing that it severely lacks is good acceleration. Moreover, it possesses a really heavy body. Furthermore, its handling is really great, and you are not going to face while cornering at even the sharpest of turns. Stallion also comes in a racing variant called the Burger Shot Stallion.

For a complete detailed guide on how you can get this cool racing variant of Stallion, you can follow this amazing video from XM360 on Youtube:

Arena Dominator

If you are looking for the most badass muscle car ever, then Arena Dominator is worth considering. Based on the modified apocalyptic-themed Ford Mustang from the famous movie death race, this car was added to GTA Online as a part of 2018’s Arena War update. It is a heavily modified weaponized and armored variant of the standard model of Dominator.

The Arena Dominator has a pretty decent top speed, along with great acceleration. Moreover, its design is a bit heavier than usual muscle cars. Its armor and upgrades make it heavy, so it takes some time to attain its maximum speed.

If you like the following movie builds for your cars, you are in for a treat. Because “Digital Car Addict” on Youtube has created a surreal and truly badass build of the Arena Dominator based on the Mustang from Jason Statham’s movie Death Race. Make sure to check it out below:

Multiple garages in the game, including Los Santos Customs, LS Car Meet, and Beeker’s Garage, offer customization options, but the arena upgrades are only available at the Arena Workshop. This is enough to say that it is worthy of being called the “best wheelie car in GTA 5”. It is worthy of inclusion in the list when discussing the “best wheelie car in GTA 5”.

Declasse Tampa

As Rockstar Studios says, the Declasse Tampa is one of the most powerful muscle cars with one of the worst handling experiences you will witness in the game. This car has been a part of GTA’s legacy since GTA San Andreas and was introduced to GTA Online’s world when the Festive Surprise 2015 DLC update was released. Its design is inspired by real-life classics like the 1964-1973 Ford Mustang, 1970-1972 Dodge Dart Demon,  68-72 Chevrolet Nova, and the 1968 Dodge Charger.

This rear-wheel drive car is powered by a V8 engine, like most cars in the game. Its braking system is also not very great, and the handling is surprisingly fairly stable, opposite to Rockstar’s claim of it being one of the most difficult cars to handle. It can surely be called the “best wheelie car in GTA 5.”

Burger Shot Stallion, just as the name suggests, can run like a stallion when it comes to muscle car racing while repping your favorite fastfood chain in GTA Online; the Burger Shot. This unique racing car can perform as good wheelies as any other muscle and is surely worthy of inclusion in the list when discussing “best wheelie car in GTA 5”. This 2-door muscle held a seating capacity of 2 people and was added to GTA Online’s world in 2016 as a part of the Cunning Stunts DLC update.

Stallion has been a part of almost all the installments in the GTA franchise and surely holds significance in GTA’s world. Other than the racing livery for “Burger Shot”, the car underneath has the same design as the standard variant of Stallion, and it appears to be mainly based on the classic 1968–1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

Like many other race cars in the game, the Burger Shot Stallion does not have a major difference from its original variant. Only the customizations that can aid its role as a race car, like faster top speed and acceleration, have been applied. Otherwise, the other specs like braking system, handling, etc., are the same as the standard variant of Stallion. Moreover, it holds the same twin-cam V8 engine as a regular Stallion but can give you a slightly improved speed of 144 km-h or 89.48 mph.

Moreover, it is a custom variant of baseline Declasse Impaler, and it was added to GTA Online’s Universe in 2018 when the Arena War DLC update was released.

Rockstar Games surely knows how to make an impression, and they have added dozens of famous vehicles from movies and TV shows to spice up the game’s experience. From Paul Walkers’s Nissan Skyline to Dr. Emmet’s DeLorean to the infamous Ford Falcon from Mad Max: Fury Road, GTA 5 contains them all. Moreover, Arena Impaler is also a pop culture reference, and its design is based on Pachenko’s Buick as shown in the film Death Race.

The Dominator GTX got featured in GTA Online in 2018 as a part of the Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series DLC update.

You might also have seen John Cena driving the same car in 2021’s Fast and Furious 9: Fast Saga. “Just Jake Club” on Youtube has done amazing custom work on the standard Dominator GTX in the game to give it an exact look as Jacob Torreto’s Ford Mustang GT350. You can check out this amazing customization here:

While the regular Dominator is famous for its great top speeds, this custom variant focuses more on the handling aspect of the performance. Its top speed is not the best you will see in a muscle car, and possesses a singlecam V8 engine. Moreover, from the handling aspect, you will find its handling to be one of the smoothest for any muscle car in the game.
