GTA V has a lot of interesting trophies that you can unlock throughout the game by doing various missions. The base game only has 51 trophies, but throughout the years and with each update, new trophies have been added to the game. The game, as of now, contains 78 trophies – 1 platinum, 3 gold, 15 silver, and 59 bronze. Read through to find a detailed trophy guide for all 78 GTA V trophies.
Key Takeaways
- GTA V has 78 trophies- 1 platinum, 3 gold, 15 silver, and 59 bronze.
- The base game contains 51 trophies that can be unlocked by completing all the Story missions, and then moving towards the side missions- Strangers and Freaks, Rampages, Bail Bond Missions, and other Hobbies and Pastimes.
- Some of the trophies are awarded by collecting awards throughout the game, so while attempting the game, make sure you pay attention to getting the awards.
- There are two updates that have introduced 17 new trophies in the game. The Heists update introduced 9 new trophies, while the Doomsday Heist update introduced 8 new trophies. These trophies can be unlocked by completing the heist setup missions and finales.
- The Rockstar Editor also has 10 trophies that can be unlocked one by one by playing in Director Mode as the characters.
- It is not necessary to unlock all the trophies in the first playthrough, you can obtain the trophies in multiple playthroughs.
Although most of the trophies can be attained by completing the story as it is, there are some trophies that you have to collect by either some miscellaneous activities, some through GTA Online, and some that are just missable that you will unlock after choosing an alternate ending. Read on further to get details on all the trophies and how to unlock them.
Roadmap
Most GTA V trophies are interlinked; completing a certain mission or attempting one trophy will unlock many others. The best way to approach the trophies is as follows:
- Start by attempting the base game in unlock order, and complete all the main story missions. This will unlock 13 trophies. It is important to note that CHEAT CODES will disable trophies, so do not use them. Also, try not to skip any parts of a mission as you can miss certain trophies because of it. There are also some ‘missable’ trophies, that can only be achieved if you choose a specific path, so be sure to read through them carefully.
- After completing the main missions, start attempting side missions, unlock properties and complete their missions. There are about 50 Strangers and Freaks missions, 7 Rampages, and 4 Bail Bond missions. All of these unlock some trophies.
- There are also some collectible trophies in the game, that you unlock after collecting things throughout the game. Some of these collectibles are Gold Medals, Platinum Medals, Nuclear Waste, Letter Scraps, and Spaceship parts.
- After reaching 100% completion of the game by completing all the side-missions, hobbies, pastimes, and collectibles, move towards GTA Online. Multiple trophies can only be unlocked in MULTIPAYER MODE.
- From GTA Online, move towards the DLC heist updates. There are two updates, amounting to a total of 17 trophies.
- Finally, check your trophy box by attempting the Rockstar Editor version of the game. There are 10 trophies that are unlocked by the Rockstar Editor. Once done, you will have unlocked all 78 trophies.

Story Missions
Starting with the storyline, the following are trophies that you will win while completing the main story missions.
Welcome to Los Santos
- Trophy: Bronze
- Mission: Franklin and Lamar
- Player Character: Franklin
- Difficulty Level: Easy
The first trophy to unlock in GTA V is ‘Welcome to Los Santos’. Unlock this trophy after completing your first mission, ‘Franklin and Lamar’. The mission involves having a race with Lamar and a car chase. After a dialogue with Michael, you will arrive at Los Santos and take control of Franklin. You and Lmar need to get two cars to a certain location. The cars have to be stolen and repossessed. Take your pick of the car and race Lamar around Los Santos. During this mission, you will encounter the police and will go your separate ways.
After the chase is over, you will journey to the Premium Deluxe Motorsports dealership, and meet the car boss Simeon Yetarian. A short sequence will commence once you return the car to the garage, and you will be awarded the trophy after the cutscene.
Gold Medal Requirements (To win Solid Gold, Baby):
- Not a Scratch and Focused Driver:
Return the car with minimum damage by using Franklin’s ability to avoid collisions.
- Winner:
Race against Lamar and win.
- We Come in Peace:
Using Franklin’s special ability, avoid hitting aliens.
Diamond Hard
- Trophy: Bronze
- Mission: The Jewel Store Job (Heist)
- Player Character: Michael and Franklin
- Difficulty Level: Easy
You will encounter your first heist at the 13th mission, ‘The Jewel Store Job’. There will be two options to choose from as approaches, Loud or Smart. Either one will land you different preparation missions and the way the heist goes.
The Silent Approach:
The silent approach, as the name suggests, focuses on the infrastructure, alarm system, and security. Go through the roof and get into the air vent. Use smoke grenades to knock everyone out and escape on an exterminator van. Follow the crew into the sewers, rendezvous at the main point, and reach lockup.
The Loud Approach:
The loud approach includes barging into the store with M4-rifles stolen from the police. Target the police cars and go in ‘guns blazing’. The rest of the heist plays out the same as in the silent approach, including the police chase in the end.
It is important to hire skilled people for the job so that they don’t die easily or lose money. Make sure to rob the store scot-free of as many jewels as you can. Escape using a motorbike. You will be under the heat of cops, once the chase dies down in the sewer tunnels, meet at the rendezvous point. The mission is complete and you will have achieved your second trophy in GTA V.
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Quick Grab:
Loot the store within 50 seconds.
- Protégé Protected:
Protect Franklin.
- Clean Sweep:
Loot the entire store and leave no jewelry lying around.
A Friendship Resurrected
- Trophy: Bronze
- Mission: Fame or Shame
- Player Character: Trevor or Michael
- Difficulty Level: Easy
This trophy is achieved after completing the 21st mission, Fame or Shame. To start, you will need to go to the Maze Bank arena as Michael or Trevor. In the mission, Michael and Trevor have an unexpected reunion. Trevor finds out that Michael is alive and after a few moments, Michael finds out that the TV show host for which his daughter is auditioning is making her uncomfortable. He runs after the host but he escapes. The mission involves chasing the TV-show host, Lazlow, on an 18-wheeler stolen truck. Lazlow is on an electric car that runs out of electricity mid-chase, and you ultimately catch up. The cutscene appears and you win a trophy.
Gold-Medal Requirements:
- Fastest Speed
Achieve top speed on the Phantom at Hawick and Davis Avenue to complete.
- Bearing Down:
Keep in close proximity to Lazlow during the car chase.
- No, I Park Here:
Unlock this by knocking out the man next to the parking lot.
- All Hooked Up
The trailer should remain hooked, and be driven carefully to avoid crashing.
A Fair Day’s Pay
- Trophy: Bronze
- Mission: Caida Libre
- Player Character: Trevor or Michael
- Difficulty Level: Intermediate
To start the mission, go to the ‘MZ’ on the map. You should be playing as Trevor or Michael. The mission is very elaborate. First, acquire a high-powered sniper rifle mounted on a van parked near the Galileo Observatory. Use the rifle to shoot down an airplane. Fire at the red square in the front to manage the time-lapse. Follow the smoke trail until the airplane crashes on a motorbike. Reach the site and kill the last passenger (Javier) that you find. Go inside the airplane and grab some documents. After all of this, destroy the evidence by burning your van, reach Martin’s house, and meet your partner (Trevor or Michael). The mission will end here, and you will get your trophy.
It is important to note that you need to shoot the airplane at a calculated time and be able to chase it down, or the mission fails.
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Floor It
Gain top speed on the motorbike.
- Glued to the Seat
Try not to fall off the Sanchez while chasing the airplane. Do not dismount the bike intentionally or you won’t be able to check this off.
- One Two Three
Use only three shots to crash the plane.
- Time
Complete the mission by 09:45, by missing the cutscenes, and using better vehicles to navigate.
The Moment of Truth
- Trophy: Bronze
- Mission: Bury the Hatchet
- Player Character: Trevor or Michael
- Difficulty Level: Easy
This trophy unlocks after uncovering Brad’s truth during the mission ‘Bury the Hatchet’. To start, go to M on the map as either Trevor or Michael. Drive to the Los Santos International Airport where Trevor will fly to North Yankton. This is followed by a trip to the graveyard, where Trevor will dig up Michael’s grave to find Brad inside the coffin. Michael and Trevor will have a shootout at this moment, and Trevor’s gun will jam. Use Michael to play through this part of the mission.
The graveyard will shift to a cutscene, followed by an attack by Cheng’s small private army. You will need to fight the army and make your way back to the car. Aside from the Pistol, try to steal an AK from one of the gangsters. Take cover so that you aren’t attacked from behind. Reach the yellow target destination after automatically switching to Trevor for the final task. The mission ends as you land safely, and you get a trophy.
Subversive
- Trophy: Bronze
- Mission: The Merryweather Heist (30th Mission)
- Player Characters: Trevor, Michael, and Franklin.

Freighter:
The pre-mission tasks involve stealing a mini-submarine. Michael is responsible for planting C4 on the ship, while Franklin is on the sniper rifle. After you have successfully blown up the ship with these two, take the prototype and the submarine to a safe checkpoint using Trevor.
Offshore:
The pre-mission involves stealing the submarine, as well as a Cargo bob helicopter from Military Base. Find the device in the deep sea and carry the entire submarine using the helicopter. You will encounter Merryweather and will have to deal with it tactfully.

- Difficulty Level: Intermediate
The third heist was given by the Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB) involving all three main characters. The heist involves robbing an armored car.
The pre-mission tasks involve getting two trucks, a getaway vehicle and, camouflage suits. The garbage truck will be used to create an ambush, operated by Michael. The tow truck will be used to ram the armored truck, by Franklin. Trevor will be on the lookout.
After disguising themselves, the group head towards Cypress Flats where the heist will occur. After spotting the truck, Trevor will signal to Michael to plant the truck in position to block the road. The armored truck will stop, at this cue, Franklin will come speeding out of the alley and ram the truck. Next, blow the truck door with sticky bombs and find the loot. The police are alarmed during this time and the group is under a 4-star wanted level. Switch between characters to kill the enemies. Use Trevor to take out the snipers, and Franklin and Michael to fight on the ground. Use Franklin to escape through the getaway car. Destroy the garbage truck and rendezvous back to Devin’s house.

To complete this GTA V trophy, you must complete the game’s fourth heist. The pre-mission tasks involve stealing a truck full of army supplies in the desert. There is only one approach to this heist, unlike the others.
After dropping off Franklin down the river in Paleto Bay, head to the bank. Michael and Trevor are responsible for the actual job, whereas Franklin will be waiting with the getaway car.
Get to the bank, and shoot the camera to set off an alarm. Gather loot from the safe and fight the police that comes your way. Franklin will bring a bulldozer to Michael and Trevor. While playing as Franklin, be sure to use the bulldozer to clear cars out of your way while being chased by the police. Pick up the other two from the bank and escape to the building on the other side of the street. From the building, jump onto the train. The mission will end, and you will have unlocked the trophy.

- Player Characters: Michael and Franklin.
- Difficulty Level: Intermediate
There are two approaches for this heist, “Fire Crew” and ‘Roof Entry’.
Fire Crew:
For this approach, you enter the FIB building as firefighters and perform the raid. Start by dressing up as a janitor using Michael as your character and plant bombs around the building. After that, detonate the bombs from the outside. This will set the building on fire. Re-enter the building as firemen, and get the containment drive. Fight off the enemies, plant explosives on the door and get to the fire truck. Escape the police to the getaway location on the fire truck. Destroy the truck and go to Lester’s house. The trophy will unlock after this.
Roof Entry:
Head to the NOOSE headquarters, wait until nightfall, and use the helicopter to get to the FIB building through the rooftop. Enter the building through the Bureau skylight and hack the computer system according to the guidelines of the hacker on the radio. Hold off the police till the hacker downloads the files.
The helicopter will be taken out by a Buzzard, and the team will have to use the backup plan. Escape by reducing visibility and get to the main road where a getaway car (ambulance) will be waiting. The team will be under the four-star wanted level. Lose the cops and escape to Franklin’s house to meet Lester.

You can choose from two approaches to perform this heist, ‘Subtle’ or ‘Obvious.’

To Live or Die in Los Santos [Missable]
- Trophy: Silver
- Mission: ‘The Third Way, ‘Something Sensible’, ‘The Time’s Come’
- Player Characters: Trevor, Michael, and Franklin.
- Difficulty Level: Hard
This trophy is uncommon compared to the rest, especially because it depends upon the ending you choose. For the 69th mission, you get to choose out of three options for ending. Choosing option C will help you unlock this trophy. Choosing any of the other endings renders the trophy missable if you haven’t completed some of the side missions.
Note: Have a game saved as backup before starting the final mission, so that you can choose alternative endings later. If you initially choose to go with ending A or B, having a backup game will save you time when you finally choose option C to get the trophy.
Something Sensible (Option A):
Choosing this option, you start a mission that includes only Franklin. To complete the mission, Franklin has to kill Trevor. It is important to note that after this mission you will lose access to Trevor permanently in the game.
The Time’s Come:
This mission involves killing Michael as Franklin. You will lose access to Michael if you choose this ending.
The Third Way:
The way to go if you want to unlock the trophy. This mission involves all three of the protagonists, so you don’t lose anyone by the end of the mission. The mission starts with Franklin choosing the Deathwish option. Start with ambushing the FIB with Lamar, and rescue Trevor. Next, you will be tasked to assassinate one enemy leader per character. After taking out all the high-level enemies, you will be switched to Trevor who will go to Devin’s house, kill the guards around the pool and kidnap Devin. To end the mission, go to the rendezvous point and kill Devin. A final cutscene will appear and you will be awarded your trophy shortly after it.
Gold Medal Objectives:
- Time:
Finish the entire mission within 21:30.
- Headshots:
Finish off 20 enemies with headshots.
- Accuracy:
Complete the mission with a shooting accuracy of atleast 70%.
- Stick, Tick, Boom!
Using a Sticky Bomb, finish Cheng.
- Lead Lobotomy:
Using a heavy sniper for your headshot, kill Steve Haines.
- Stretched Out:
Use a Knife to perform a melee attack on Stretch.
Side-Missions
All’s Fare in Love and War [Missable]
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Franklin
- Unlock Level: Rare
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Side-Missions and Properties
- Pre-requisite: Complete Nervous Ron (Mission 18)
To unlock this trophy, you must buy the cab company, Downtown Cab Co, located in East Vinewood. The purchase is worth $200,000. After the purchase, you will get a call from the manager asking if you can do some ‘special fares’. Be sure to note that completing a normal fare in the taxi won’t count. After accepting the task, click on the green ‘P’ on the map and wait for the VIP to get into your cab. Drive them safely to the required destination. By the end of each ride, a ‘Private Fare Complete’ notification will appear on the screen.
You will get exactly 9 opportunities throughout the game to do so while playing as Franklin and while not attempting any mission.
The only important points to keep in mind to unlock this trophy are to drive safely, don’t kill the clients and do not miss out on the 9 opportunities presented as if you miss them, you will miss the trophy. The rest of the job is a piece of cake, so go get that trophy!
TP Industries Arms Race [Missable]
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Trevor
- Unlock Level: Very Rare
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Side-Missions and Properties
- Pre-requisite: Complete Nervous Ron (Mission 18)
Another missable trophy on the list is TP Industries Arms Race. Make sure that you only choose option C for the final mission, otherwise you will not be able to get this trophy. This trophy involves doing a series of missions using Trevor.
To start off, complete the mission Nervous Ron so that you can unlock properties. After completing the mission, you will be able to purchase McKenzie Field Hanger, for $150,000, in the Grapeseed area. After the purchase, you will need to complete 10 missions for Oscar using the Cuban 800 plane and the Dune Buggy.
The plane missions basically consist of airdropping crates to a fixed location or to bomb areas. To complete them you just simply need to fly over the areas and release them. Towards the end of the mission, you will need to land the plane back at the hangar.
The land missions involving the Buggy are just landraces involving weapon pick-ups. You will have to drive to a certain location and pick a package, and then drive back to the airfield. Sometimes you will encounter enemies you will have to kill. Otherwise, the missions are pretty easy to complete.
Important points that will help you gain this trophy are:
- Have Trevor’s flying skills maxed.
- Complete basic tutorials on how to handle planes at the Flight School.
- The missions don’t come one after the other, so after completing a mission, quick save to respawn at the same location and do another mission.
- To save time and do the missions one after the other, do a land mission and then follow it with an air mission, and then quick save to respawn.
Waste Management:
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Michael or Trevor
- Unlock Level: Very Rare
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Side-Missions and Properties
- Pre-requisite: The Merryweather Heist
After completing The Merryweather Heist and unlocking properties for purchase, purchase the Sonar Collections Dock for $250,000. To get this trophy, you will need to collect all the nuclear waste. There are a total of 30 nuclear waste collectibles in GTA 5.
- Once you’ve bought the dock, start collecting the nuclear waste. The collectibles appear to be bright yellow and glow underwater. A submarine will spawn at the dock after its purchase, you will need to use this submarine to go to the bottom of the ocean to collect the waste.
- You will also have a new app automatically added, called ‘Trackify’, which will use as SONAR and help you track the waste. Once you enter the submarine, the app will launch and show a red blip on the mini-map. Follow this to get to the waste.
- Every piece of nuclear waste that you pick will amount to $23,000 per barrel. Once you have collected all 30 of them a sum of $250,000 will be added to your weekly income.
- To save time, you can get a chopper to help lift the submarine from one place to another as the barrels are widespread, and getting to them on just the submarine will be time-consuming. Also, keep saving the game to add the barrels to the collection.

Kifflom!
- Trophy: Silver
- Player Character: Michael
- Unlock Level: Very Rare
- Difficulty Level: Hard
- Category: Side-Missions\ Strangers and Freaks
This trophy involves playing as Michael and completing some side missions, so this trophy can be missed if you don’t choose option C as the ending. This is also one of the more difficult trophies to get. It involves completing all the missions for the cult, Epsilon Program. There are a total of 8 missions that need to be done, and three of them can get you Gold Medals. The missions do not come one after the other, so a tip to save time is to quick-save the mission so you respawn at the same location.
You will need to have $90,500 in your wallet while attempting the trophy. The missions will help you earn about $2,100,000.
The following are the details of each mission explained briefly.
Mission 1-Seeking the Truth:
The first mission is easy and only involves registering on the website and donating. To start, open the web browser on your phone and search for EPSILON, find the ‘EVALUATE YOUR IDENTITY’ option on the website www.epsilonprogram.com and attempt the short test. After this a secret mission will appear on your map. Click on the mission to start.
Objectives:
- Get abducted.
- Get an email from Marnie to visit the Epsilon website.
- Donate $500 on the website.
- Wait for the next mission to appear for 12 hours in-game.
Mission 2- Accepting the Truth
This mission comes shortly after you donate $500 to the website. For this mission you meet Marnie, a member of the Epsilon program, who tells you how good the program is. She also says that she’ll give you an educational tool, but only after you donate to the website.
Objectives:
- Donate $5000 to the website
- Wait for the next mission to appear.
Mission 3- Assuming the Truth
This mission involves more action than the first two. For this mission, Marnie gives you the nickname Zolag and asks you to steal cars for the members of Epsilon. The following are the cars that need to be stolen:
- Pegassi Vacca
- Benefactor Surano
- Declasse Tornado
- Enus Super Diamond
- Dinka Double T
Objectives:
- Steal 5 cars.
- Deliver the cars to the house on Hillcrest Ridge Access Road in Vinewood Hills
Mission 4- Chasing the Truth
In this mission, you will receive a device to find an extraterrestrial object and then donate another $10,000 to the program. The device will beep near extraterrestrial objects, specifically near an old TV and a boot.
Objectives:
- Receive device from Marnie and Jimmy Boston
- Use the device to scan for an alien artifact.
- Find the artifact and wait for an email.
- Donate another $10,000 on the website.
- Wait for the next mission to appear.
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Use the Force:
Avoid using the detector to find the artifact.
This may be difficult to do, so first attempt the mission using the device and then re-attempt the mission to complete the gold medal requirements.
Mission 5- Bearing the Truth
This is one of the costlier ones and requires you to buy a robe for $25,000. It takes a little longer to complete as it requires you to wear the robe for ten consecutive days. A tip to save time is to sleep 40 times in the game wearing the robe, which will count as 10 days. You can also save time by killing yourself 20 times.
Objectives:
- Purchase Epsilon Robe for $25,000.
- Continue playing while wearing the robe for 10 consecutive days.
Mission 6- Delivering the Truth
For this mission, you need to complete a delivery to Jimmy Boston. Answer all questions asked with ‘Kifflom’.
Objectives:
- Meet Tom, an Epsilon member, near Fort Zancuado.
- Get the Velum from him and deliver it at the Sandy Shores Airfield to Jimmy
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Touchdown:
Deliver the plane undamaged.
- Zondar the Bridge
Fly under three bridges along Lago Zancudo.
Mission 7- Exercising the truth.
Complete this mission by running through the desert. It takes about 25 minutes to complete but is fairly easy. The mission starts with Jimmy giving you a medal to commend you for your journey so far and then asks you to run through the desert wearing the robe.
Objectives:
- Run 5 miles through the Grand Senora Desert.
- Wait for Cris to call and go meet him at the Epsilon Program Center in Vinewood.
Mission 8- Unknowing the Truth
The final mission has an interesting twist to it. You will need to decide between two options for the fate of your membership with Epsilon. The two options are as follows:
Deliver the car loaded with ‘apocalypse funds’, worth $2.1 million and get a rusty tractor as a prize.
Betray the organization and run away with the cash. If you choose this option you will have a fight on your hands so be prepared for that.
Objectives:
- Donate $50,000 to Epsilon
- Get the car loaded with money from Cris, to deliver to the Cayman Islands.
- Tractor Ending: Following the security convoy, deliver the car to Cayman Island and obtain a rusty Tractor.
- Money Ending: Kill the guards and successfully escape a police chase to obtain $2.1 million.
- You can also get both endings if you start shooting after parking the car at the drop-off point. Enter the Tractor and drive it to the car. Get to the car and run away. You will also have the Tractor by the end of it.
Gold Medal Requirements:
You will have to choose the money ending if you want to obtain the Gold medal for this mission.
- Cult Intervention:
Kill all the members of the security.
- Show me the Money
Escape with the stolen money.
Three-Man Army [Missable]
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Characters: Trevor, Michael, and Franklin
- Unlock Level: Very Rare
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Story Missions
This trophy is missable if you don’t choose option C as your final ending for the game. To complete the mission, you need all three player characters, which isn’t possible if you don’t have all the players. The mission involves surviving for longer than 3 minutes on a 3-star Wanted Level with all three characters in one place. Attempt this mission only after completing “Friends Reunited’, to get all the players in one place.
To start the mission, call the two characters from your ‘Contacts’. Make sure to call both characters before picking either of them up, as if you call one of the characters after picking up the other one, the phone will dial a busy tone.
Pick the characters up in a four-door car and head to the Los Santos International Airport. Entering the airfield will immediately get you a three-star wanted level. Now you have to make sure that you survive and maintain the three-star wanted level for at least 3 minutes. Keep driving and do not lose the cops. A tip for surviving this mission is to get bullet-proof tires and armor before starting the mission. Once the three minutes are complete, you will have unlocked the trophy.
Altruist Acolyte [Missabe]
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Trevor
- Unlock Level: Rare
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Random Events
You can attempt to get this trophy after completing the mission Mr.Phillips. While driving or walking, your mini-map will flash white and a red blip will appear for ‘enemy’ and blue for an ally. This represents a Random Event, which involves delivering a victim.
There are about 14 strangers all over the map that you can pick up at any time and give a ride to. Some of them are lost hikers, and some are just looking for a ride. You must pick up the strangers and deliver them to their death instead of their desired destination. Drive them to a camp present at Mount Chilliad to the Altruist Cult and get paid for it.
Some of the strangers will be inquisitive about the place you’re taking them to, but Trevor will always have good answers to go and feed them the right lies. Every time you pick a stranger up, an A symbol will appear on the map. You can place a marker there and follow the directions to get to the location. Once at the location, wait for the gates to open and a cutscene to start. You will receive some money and unlock this trophy after the cutscene.
The following strangers are known to work for this trophy:
- Domestic
- Hitchhikers (4)
- Drunk Drivers (2)
This trophy can be missable if you pick up strangers while playing as Michael or Franklin, as there is only a set number of victims you can give rides to, and you need to complete the 14-person mark to get this trophy.

- Player Character: Trevor
- Unlock Level: Rare
- Difficulty Level: Easy

The missions aren’t replayable so you do not have a lot of chances, be sure to get the targets in the first attempt.
Shortly after meeting Maude, you will receive an email about the first mission along with the target details. There are 4 targets that you have to find in order to complete this trophy. After locating the target, quick save. The details of the targets are as follows:

- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Franklin
- Unlock Level: Very Rare

After completing the mission ‘Fame or Shame’, meet a guy named Omega in Sandy Shores, to start the stranger mission, ‘Far-Out’. There are about 50 parts that you have to collect. The parts will appear as small rectangular objects emitting a resonating sound as you get close to them. Important points to note while on this mission are:
- Six of the parts can only be collected using a chopper, so be prepared for them.
- If a part doesn’t appear where it should be, respawn as another player character and it should appear.
- Keep saving your game to log all the parts that you have collected.
- You can collect the parts as any character, but you can only return them as Franklin.
You will receive the trophy once Franklin returns all 50 parts to Omega.
A Mystery, Solved
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Franklin
- Unlock Level: Very Rare
- Difficulty Level: Intermediate
- Category: Side-Missions/Strangers and Freaks
For this trophy, you need to collect 50 letter scarps in GTA V. The scraps can be collected by any of the players. However, the main mission can only be attempted as Franklin.
In order to collect the letter scraps, the Rockstar Games Social Club will be a great help with finding the locations. Much like the spaceship parts, the letter scraps also appear as small, glowing pieces of paper, and some of them can only be accessed with a helicopter.
Once you have collected all 50 scraps, go to the ‘Killer’ location on the map. A stranger mission, ‘A Starlet in Vinewood’, will unlock for you. To complete the mission, you need to chase and kill the character you meet at the beginning of the mission. The trophy will unlock once the mission is complete.
Tips to keep in mind while attempting this mission are as follows:
- Use Chop to get to the scraps that are only available by helicopter.
- Keep saving the game to keep track of all the collectibles.
- If a letter scrap is not where it should be, respawn as a different character.
- Before entering the mansion to start the mission, use a silenced gun to shoot the tires of the car in the driveway and also park your car close to the location to speed things up.

This trophy involves going to the ocean and swimming around. Get to the deeper waters where sharks are available, using a boat or a chopper. Swim around and wait for a red dot to appear on the map. The dot indicates a shark. To unlock the trophy, let the shark eat you. Make sure the shark spots you, by swimming towards it. An important note is that you will lose $5000 by getting killed, so if you want to save the money, make a new save and attempt the trophy and then reload.
A Lot of Cheddar
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Trevor/Michael/Franklin
- Unlock Level: Rare
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Hobbies and Pastimes
This trophy requires you to have a large amount of money on you, so it is advisable that you attempt to get this trophy only after the last heist, which will net you $25 million. To get the trophy, you have to spend $200 million with all three characters.
An easy way to spend $200 million is by buying expensive stocks on the ‘Internet’. Keep investing until you have spent all $200 million.
The best way to make money in the game is during Lester’s assassination missions. To spend money using all three characters, swap between characters after each assassination. Purchase stocks from the following companies:
- Betta Pharmaceuticals (BAWSAQ stocks) – Hotel Assassination
- Debonaire (LCN stocks) – Multi-Target Assassination
- Fruit (BAWSAQ stocks) – Vice Assassination
- Vapid (BAWSAQ stocks) – Bus Assassination
- GoldCoast (LCN stocks) – Construction Assassination
To get profit from the stocks, sell all of them after a few in-game days. This happens because during the assassinations, you kill the CEOs of major companies, which leaves the company at a loss and that works in your favor.

This trophy is similar to the A Lot of Cheddar. You can gain this while attempting to get A lot of Cheddar. You can buy stock by going to the Finance section of the Internet-App on your phone and selecting either BAWSAQ or LCN. Buy stocks from 5 different companies and wait for them to go up. Sell as soon as it rises.
The best time and way to make profits with stocks in GTA 5 is during Lester’s Assassination mission. See the details on how to maximize profit on stock in the A Lot of Cheddar trophy.
One other way to gain profit from stocks is by completing Random Events. You may get an email that a person you helped has given you stocks of their company as a token of appreciation. Sell the stocks immediately to get the trophy.
Pimp My Sidearm
- Trophy: Bronze

- Unlock Level: Common
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Mods
This trophy is fairly easy to get. All you have to do in order to get this trophy is fully mod a weapon. There are tons of mods available and a lot of ways in which you can customize your weapons. However, for the sake of ease and simplicity, the cheapest and beginner-level choice for modding a weapon is a pistol. Modding a regular pistol only requires $2790.
This trophy will automatically unlock once you complete the mission ‘Complications’. Using $3,381, visit the Ammu-Nation store and upgrade the ‘Pistol’.
Another way to get the trophy completely free of cost is if you have the Special/Collector’s Edition of the game. When you enter the Ammu-Nation store, Pistol 50 and Bullpup Shotgun will unlock for you. Just upgrade the two by buying all the attachments available. These will be free of cost. Once you’ve bought all the upgrades, the trophy will unlock for you.
Los Santos Customs
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Trevor/Michael. Franklin
- Unlock Level: Uncommon
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Mods
Much like the previous trophy, this can be completed by fully modding a vehicle. The only thing required for this trophy is that you have completed the mission ‘Father/Son’. This will unlock ‘Los Santos Customs’, and you can take any vehicle here and customize it. Modding a vehicle is a lot more expensive than modding a weapon, so be sure that you have enough money before attempting this trophy. Keep the following tips in mind while modding the vehicles:
- You can only get the trophy for modding a vehicle that has every type of upgrade available.
- The mods will be free for you if you buy ‘Los Santos Customs’ as Franklin.
- After purchasing all the mods, leave the shop, save the game, and reload for the trophy to unlock. The trophy will only unlock once you have left the shop.
- To save money, save the game prior to modding the vehicle and reload again. You will have unlocked the trophy and also saved some bucks.

Solid Gold, Baby!
- Trophy: Gold
- Player Character: Trevor / Michael / Franklin
- Unlock Level: Ultra Rare
- Difficulty Level: Intermediate
- Category: 100% Completion
Another trophy that you can only unlock towards the completion of the game. There are 120 Gold Medals in the game that you can receive by completing special requirements while attempting the 116 missions in the game. For the story missions and the side missions, we have listed all the gold-medal requirements. If you attempt the mission to complete the requirements, by the end of the game you will have collected all the Gold Medals to unlock this trophy. Here are a few pointers for this trophy:
- You can attempt to get this trophy in multiple playthroughs, as it is not necessary nor possible to attempt all the missions completing all the Gold Medal requirements the first time around.
- The best time to collect this trophy is in the end, once you have attempted all the missions and collected all other trophies, as some trophies require repeating missions or completing Gold Medal requirements.
- Re-attempt missions once you have maxed out certain characteristics and player abilities associated with each character, for example, ‘Driving’, ‘Strength’, ‘Flying’, ‘Stamina’ etc.
- If you die during the mission, certain requirements will not be met. Thus for such missions, you will have to re-attempt.
- Skip cutscenes to get the ‘Time’ requirement checked off.
- You can only replay the heist missions with the approaches that you have initially chosen during your playthrough. However, you can re-attempt all three of the final endings.
- Earning Medals during Hobbies and Pastimes will not amount to this trophy.
- Choose to replay those story missions which only have a few requirements.
- For Trevor’s Rampages, you have to attempt all Gold Medal requirements in a single playthrough.
- Heist preparation missions are better to get a Gold Medal from, rather than the complete heists, as they are very time-consuming.
GTA Online/Multiplayer Only
If you’ve made it this far and still don’t have the trophy count as 78, switch to GTA Online. A lot of trophies are only available on the online version and can only be achieved in the multiplayer version. Read through to unlock all the remaining GTA Online trophies.

- Unlock Level: Common
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Hobbies and Pastimes
This trophy has three requirements that you need to complete: get an apartment, a garage, and an insured vehicle.
Insured Vehicle:
This part is easy to complete as you already get an insured vehicle once you start the game. If, for some reason, you lose the vehicle, you can just call ‘Mors Mutual Insurance’, to get the car back. Another option is to steal a car, preferably cheap as the premium ones are not trackable. Once stolen, go to the Los Santos Customs Shop and select Theft/Loss Prevention > Tracker and Insurance.
Apartment and Garage:
You can complete the other two requirements by getting an apartment with a garage. This one is a little costly. To get the apartment, you will need to have at least $80,000 in your bank. To get the money, you can also read our article on How to get money in GTA fast.
Once you have the money, go to your web browser, and select ‘Dynasty 8’. Scroll down to ‘0112 S Rockford Dr, Apt 13’. You will fulfill the trophy requirements once the purchase is complete.
It is important to note that you will only get the trophy if you buy the apartment with the in-game internet, and not by the ‘For-Sale’ sign.
Backseat Driver
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Trevor / Michael / Franklin
- Unlock Level: Very Rare
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Category: Hobbies and Pastimes
To unlock this trophy, you need to direct a driver to 1st place, being the co-driver in Rally mode. The Rally-mode in GTA 5 is such that only the co-driver gets to see the track, and he must guide the main driver to win the race. For this trophy, you are the co-driver. Guide your driver using either the headset or in-game buttons. A few points to note for this trophy are as follows:
- You will need a team of 4 players to begin the race, as the race cannot start with uneven teams. It is preferable to create a Boosting session for this.
- Select ‘co-driver’ as your ‘Preferred Role’, once the team has been selected.
- An easy way out of the race is to use the ‘Criminal Records’ track. The track is easy to navigate through as it is just a circle going in a clockwise direction.

Play with your friends or create a Boosting session, to get help and guidance. Once the thief stuns you and robs you, follow him. Keep the following tips in mind:
- Attempt the mission on a long road, so that you can see where the thief is headed.
- Only chase after and kill the thief after he has mugged you.
- The trophy requires you to get mugged, so keep at least $1000 cash on you.

Survival is a wave-based game mode in GTA 5 to battle enemies that increase in difficulty level with each wave. In order to get this trophy, you have to complete all 10 waves of Survival. This trophy can only be attempted after rank 15. The mode is multiplayer, with a team of 4 members maximum. The waves get difficult with the increasing number; however, these few tips will help you get through them with ease:
- One of the maps has an exploit that makes completing all the waves very easy.
- Stock up on ammo and armor before starting the mission.
- At the beginning of the first wave, take cover in a narrow gap between a grey portacabin in front of a red wall. Remain here for the entirety of the waves. All of the enemies spawn in front of you, giving you an easy shot at them. Rarely, an enemy will come towards the red wall, having a clear shot at you. However, they will not shoot, but rather take cover instead.
- Don’t get frightened by the helicopter, as it can’t shoot in narrow spaces. As soon as you get the chance, stick your head out and shoot the pilot.
- To get supplies, wait until there is only one enemy left to rob ammo, weapons and armor.
- If you have money, you also have the option of calling a helicopter to assist you, by calling ‘Merryweather’. This will also help you unlock the trophy ‘Dialing digits’.

Lester will invite you to his house, after going there you will unlock the option to place bounties on players’ heads. To place a bounty, go to ‘Contacts’ in your phone and call Lester. If you’re not playing with a team, you could create a Boosting session as well. Here are a few tips to get through the bounty:
- Multiplayer: Get your team to place a bounty on your head. You will get a notification once you have a bounty on your head.
- Single player: Stealing premium cars from NPCs will increase your chances of getting a bounty placed on your head.
- While on the bounty, be sure not to participate in any mission or race, as that will pause the timer.
- To get through the day, just drive around the city. You cannot sit in your apartment, as this will also pause the timer.

For this trophy, you need to hold up all the 20 stores in GTA online. This trophy is best completed in Solo Session. To hold a store, all you need to do is enter a store and point a gun at the cashier. To speed things up, you can also shoot behind the wall. Once the cashier empties the register, you can get the bag from him and leave. A few important notes for this trophy are:
- A faster way to earn the trophy is to just kill the cashier and get the money yourself. This method will only get you 1/3rd of the money but it will still count as holding the store.
- If you kill the cashier, you will not get a Wanted level penalty. However, if you hold the store, you start with a 2-star Wanted level, which only goes up as you increase the number of stores you rob. To erase the wanted level, you can just die.
- You can trace the number of stores you’ve held on the map. All the stores you have held will have a green tick on the map.
- As long as you get the money from the register, your robbery will count, even if you end up dying.
- You can attempt this trophy in multiple sessions as well.

This trophy can only be unlocked in multi-player mode. You can attempt this trophy in multiple sessions instead of one. To unlock, you need to win 5 races in GTA 5 using a modded vehicle. To start, you need to have unlocked the Los Santos Customs shop. After stealing your first car, you can get it insured for free at the shop. Mod the vehicle by adding all the upgrades available. Once you’re done with the car, you can use it for Land Races. The following are some key points for this trophy:
- Make sure not to steal a premium car as you cannot get it insured or put a tracker on it.
- Before hosting a race, check to see if the ‘Custom Vehicles’ option is ON. You
- need this option if you want to use the modded vehicle in the race. Set the ‘Vehicle Class’ to match the class of the car that you’re going to be using for the race. This step is important as without it your car will not show up as an option.
- You can attempt the races in multiple sessions, using different modded cars.
- To quickly complete the trophy, invite a friend and select ‘Criminal Records’ as your track. Set the laps to ‘1’ and win against him 5 times. You can replay the race by selecting ‘Replay’, and this will restart the exact same race. This will help you easily win the races and finish them quickly.

This trophy will cost you a lot of bucks, so be sure to have that kind of money before you start attempting this one. To earn this trophy, you will have to spend $8,000,000 purchasing vehicles included as part of the Heists update.
The Heists Update has introduced many new vehicles to the game, most of which are very expensive. The vehicles are also not available all at once, they unlock through each heist mission. The following are the vehicles included:
- Karin Armored Kuruma – $698,250 (Fleece Job)
- Hyrda – $3,990,000 (Humane Labs Raid)

After selling, exit Los Santos Customs and buy another Karin Kurama from your phone and wait for it to be delivered. Sell it again and repeat the process 16 times. In order to unlock this trophy, you need to earn 25 platinum medals across Heist Setups and Finales.
GTA Online consists of several platinum medals that you can get for doing a job well. Some of these are awarded if you perform exceptionally during a heist setup mission or during the finale. Some of the requirements of the platinum awards are accuracy, combat, number of kills, time etc. You get a summary of each heist mission at the end of every heist, and you can check if you earned a medal from there.
An easy way to obtain the platinum awards is to keep replaying a heist. The Fleeca Job is the easiest heist, and you can replay it by calling Lester and selecting the option ‘Replay Heist’. To make sure you obtain the platinum medal for the heist, do the following:
- For the first setup mission, take the role of the driver.
- For the second mission, take out the maximum of the enemies surrounding the Kuruma.
- For the finale, take the role of the driver.
If you keep replaying the same heist, you will obtain 25 platinum awards in no time. Each replay will get you 3 awards. To track your progress, go to Stats > Awards > Heists > Decorated Award.

You can also track your progress from the Stats > Doomsday Awards Section.
Orbital Obliteration
- Trophy: Bronze
- Player Character: Trevor / Michael / Franklin
- Unlock Level: Very Rare
- Difficulty Level: Intermediate
- Category: Heists Setup Missions
One of the trickier ones, this trophy can be unlocked by killing another player with the Orbital Cannon. The Orbital cannon is unlocked while attempting the Getting Started trophy when you unlock the Facilities for purchase. It is a cannon that can fire Satellite Missiles.
To purchase, you can either use the Maze Bank Foreclosures website or you can select the optional upgrade while purchasing a facility. You can get the cannon for $900,000.
To kill a player with the cannon, all you have to do is go to the Orbital Cannon room in your facility and use the cannon to kill the other player. It is important that you are accurate with your shots as each shot costs $500,000 (manual) and $750,000 (automatic).
Once you’ve killed the player, the trophy will pop.
Elitist
- Trophy: Silver
- Player Character: Trevor / Michael / Franklin
- Unlock Level: Ultra Rare
- Difficulty Level: Hard
- Category: Heists Setup Missions
Only a select number of people have unlocked this trophy, (0.60% to be exact), but worry not. You can increase that number by getting this trophy. This is a difficult one to get, but practice and careful play will land you this trophy in no time. To unlock, you need to complete all 3 elite challenges in the Doomsday Heist.
What are elite challenges, you ask? Much like the gold medal requirements for story missions, the heist finales also have challenges for each Act that have some basic requirements like time constraint, and survival, along with some Act-specific requirements.
The following are the challenge requirements for each act:
Act 1:
- Time: Finish within 5:30
- Combat: Have a collective headcount of 78 enemies or above
- Survival: Finish the Act with everyone alive.
Act 2:
- Time: Finish within 15:00.
- Vehicle Damage: Less than 5% damage to the Avenger.
- Survival: Don’t get wasted and ensure no one from your team gets either.
Act 3:
- Time: Finish within 30:00.
- Combat: Kill with at least 150 headshots.
- Failure: Don’t fail any of the hacks.
- Survival: Complete the mission with the entire team alive.
Some tips to complete the challenges are as follows:
- Get fully familiar with the heist before attempting the challenge. Keep restarting the heist by either dying or letting a player leave the heist so that you can note down all the important points of the heist.
- Once the team is ready, attempt a trial finale to check your time. Time the entire heist with a stopwatch and revise for improvements. A good way to save time during the heist is by buying one of the following facilities:
- Ron’s Alternative Wind Farm Facility
- Grand Senora Desert Facility
- Sandy Shores Facility
Attempting your heist by using one of the above facilities will save you time as they are conveniently placed to travel between checkpoints in Acts 1 and 3.
- Don’t skip the trip as it will fail the challenge.
- Act 1: Once you get control of the Base Defence System, shoot as many enemies as you can.
- Act 2: Repeat the mission to remember the location of Bogdan so that you save time. Utilize a larger air support team to protect the Avenger from damage. Flying at higher altitudes also helps.
- Act 3: Make sure not to lose all your lives while hacking to check the requirements.
For each challenge that you complete, you won’t just pave your way for the trophy. Each challenge will also net you $50,000.
Masterminds
- Trophy: Silver
- Player Character: Trevor / Michael / Franklin
- Unlock Level: Ultra Rare
- Difficulty Level: Hard
- Category: Heists
Much like the Elistist trophy, this is also super rare and difficult to complete. For unlocking the trophy, you must complete all the 3 Criminal Mastermind challenges in the Doomsday Heist.
The Criminal Mastermind challenges are a little tough, so be warned. The three challenges are basically 3 different versions of the same challenge, varying based on the number of players required.
Requirements:
- Completing all the missions in order. Start with the prep missions, then the set-up, and end with the finale.
- Completing the missions with the same crew.
- Surviving through all the missions. No crew member should get wasted.
- Attempt all the missions on difficulty mode: hard.
- Attempt all the prep missions in free mode. You cannot skip any prep mission as this will render the challenge void.
Important Points:
- The trophy is a little buggy, because of the servers on GTA. But you can use this to your advantage. If you fail any of the requirements, you can just ‘Close Application’ and reboot the game. This will give you a fresh start without saving or resetting your progress. The only important thing to note here is that all players must close their application at the same time for this to work.
- If you’re a professional player, each challenge will take around 8 to 10 hours to complete. So, keep a 30-hour deadline in mind for this trophy.
- Complete all the challenges in order or your progress will reset. For example, if you haven’t completed the challenges as a four-player and you switch two two-player, you will lose track of the four-player progress.
- Make sure to keep the entire team together and attempt each mission at the same time or your progress will reset. While entering the Planning room in the Facility, make sure to enter together so that no one skips the cutscene.
- Only create and use Invite-Only sessions for the Setup missions and the finale. For the prep missions, you can use Public Sessions.
Once you have completed all three challenges, the trophy will pop.
