Bruiser Set is all about being tough and heavy. It allowed me to take a lot of hits from tough monsters because it’s solid; even if it’s not the fanciest-looking Armor, it’s great for close combat.

Its average weight will let you easily dodge enemies. If you’re starting as a Challenger, you’ll begin with this Armor. Although I didn’t start as a Challenger, I bought this Armor from Whispers, found in Ward 13.

I only used this Armor set because it has stats similar to the Bruiser set. It just looked better and different visually than the Bruiser. I would opt for this set if I wanted to rock an Alien-inspired style.

While exploring through N’Erud, you can equip the Technician set as it has high shock resistance, which allowed me to easily defeat all the Robots and Drones that do electrical damage.

The Technician is the starting armor set if you start as the Engineer archetype. Moreover, I found this Armor in the outer section of the Eon Vaults.

For players who want to show off their nerdy charm while adventuring in the game, Academic’s Set is the best choice. The Academic Set is a great option for ambitious players thanks to its medium-weight burden. It’s lightweight and offers a well-balanced combination of agility and protective capabilities. 

It is accessible to players via locating a covered-up, circular sewer entry near Tiller’s Rest on Losomn. However, finding the door is random, demanding agile movements everywhere.

Red Widow Set

With its fashionable horns, the Armor Red Widow Set is eye-catching and offers exceptional protection against bleeding and blight. It is an excellent option for adventurers looking for protection and style because of its special mix.

Players wearing the Red Widow Set can confidently tackle challenging opponents and dangerous settings while looking sharp and remaining well-protected from the adverse effects of bleed and blight.

The Lament, a difficult dungeon on Yaesha, leads to the location of the desired Armor Red Widow Set. Players must get past a dangerous arrow trap before engaging in a bloody fight with swarms of foes to get it.

After passing that, they will find a puzzle on a plinth that may be completed by locating tombs with covers and using the symbols discovered above them.

As they proceed, they must find a hole in the floor and descend to the ocean, where they must squeeze through a small opening to get to a key. They can escape a buzzsaw trap and obtain the desirable Armor set from a chest on top of the stairs by using this key to unlock a door.

I am impressed with the Trainer Set because it provides surprisingly strong protection against many threats in Remnant 2. Despite its moderate weight, this versatile armor offers excellent defense without compromising my agility. 

As I started as the Handler archetype, I got this as the initial armor set, making it a perfect fit right from the start. Even better, Whisper, a vendor in the Ward, gives you the option to purchase this versatile armor.

Leto Mark II Set

I accidentally found the Leto Mark II Armor Set while exploring the Fractured Ingress in the Labyrinth. I ran past the sole portal in the Labyrinth found after the forming bridge and accidentally dropped down to my death. There was another portal below.

Inside this portal, I found another portal; I looked at a dead-end and thought there was no loot there. I kept exploring until I found a weird climbing puzzle.

After completing this puzzle, I used the biome portal key and entered the portal, which teleported me to the back of Ward 13, where I found the Leto Mark II set.

I have yet to find a reason to use this armor, as its high weight converts the dodge into a belly flop and increases the stamina cost greatly. I could only use this armor to mix it with other armor sets and somehow balance the weight.

Space Worker Set

Except for blight, the N’erud-designed Armor Space Worker Set boasts impressive resistance against electricity and remains a formidable choice when facing opponents.

I found the Armor Space Worker Set in the Void Vessel Facility. It’s tucked away behind a closed door near the entrance to the property. I had to navigate through the Labyrinth until my character reached a dimly lit area with three pods to obtain the key.

Fae Royal Set

During my playthrough of the Losomn, the wild-charging Fae Enemies wore the Fae Royal Set, which radiated beautiful aesthetics while providing powerful defensive powers. 

To get this special armor set, I played a match-three game at the Postulant’s Parlor in Losomn. Winning the game opened the door to where the set was stored, but the game can be unpredictable.

So, as an explorer, I highly advise you to thoroughly search the area to find the exact door hiding this armor set.

High Noon Set

I started as the Gunslinger archetype and got The High Noon Armor set as a bonus.

This stylish ensemble will give you a cowboy vibe and ensures top-notch combat agility and solid defense. Moreover, it provides outstanding resistance against fire and electric damage, adding an extra protection layer in risky situations.

Not having any headgear in the Survivor Set made me more susceptible to headshots. It is the first Armor set you come across, and it offers some resistance to different elements, which can be helpful during the initial tutorial.

It’s important to note that this Armor is likely the weakest option in the game.

So, as I progressed in my journey, I switched to more specialized Armor sets for better performance as soon as possible. The good news is that I had to do nothing but complete the tutorial to receive this armor set as a reward.

Knotted Set

The Knotted Set caught my eye with its intriguing and unconventional design, giving off a mysterious and captivating vibe. Even more impressive is its remarkable durability, especially when resisting acid damage. 

The Armor Knotted Set is the very first armor set tailored for the Summoner archetype, which is pretty cool. But, as I was feeling adventurous, I went through the process of buying it at the Blood Moon Altar in the dangerous world of Yaesha.

It is another one of those armor sets that I unlocked and never equipped or looked back on. The armor set looked aesthetically displeasing and had average stats, so I recommend better armor sets.

For those aspiring to become ‘Medics,’ this is the starting armor set that kicks off their journey despite its somewhat eerie appearance. Players can purchase this Armor in the Ward, a convenient way to gear up for the role.

Nightstalker Set

If you are searching for an armor set that combines functionality and style, the Nightstalker Set is a solid choice, despite its name. It provides robust defense against various threats, ensuring reliable protection. 

For those aiming to become ‘Hunters,’ this is the initial armor set that sets them on their journey, and it’s a great combination of style and versatility. I got this set by purchasing it from Whispers in Ward 13.

Realmwalker Set

While the Realmwalker Set might not offer the best defense, its stylish design and decent protection make it an appealing choice for players. It may not be the most impressive option compared to some others, but it still holds its own among all the available armors in Remnant 2. 

The reasonably good resistance levels this lightweight armor set provides come at the cost of reduced durability when faced with boss attacks.

For those aspiring to be ‘Explorers,’ this is the initial armor set, combining a stylish appearance with lighter protection. If I wanted to appear visually appealing, I would pick this somewhat weaker armor set.

Dendroid Set

Its unique root-themed appearance gives off a hauntingly beautiful yet intimidating vibe, making it a stylish choice for players like me who prioritize aesthetics over pure safety.

You must venture to Root Earth’s Ashen Wasteland to get your hands on the Armor Dendroid Set. Once I passed the initial checkpoint and explored the expansive area, I found a small guarded chamber with a glowing red object in the back. I went inside, climbed to the top of the stairs, and leaped to the other side.

When I returned to the entrance, leaped onto a nearby column, and followed it to the left, the set was waiting on a body fastened to the wall. Players who successfully negotiate this challenging journey through the land can earn this unique, eye-catching armor set.

My Experience With Armor Sets

Various armor sets add style and function to the gameplay. With over 60 hours invested in the game, I’ve realized these sets’ significant impact on my experience. They not only protect but also let players express their uniqueness.

From the rugged Bruiser Set to the stylish Academic Set, there’s an option for every play style. The weight of these armors affects dodge and stamina, which are crucial for survival.

Despite some downsides, like the Leto Mark II Set’s heavyweight, players can mix and match for a balanced approach.
