A Guide about all Engrams and how players can change or equip secondary Engrams and Archetypes in Remnant 2

All Engrams in Remnant 2
Engrams and their corresponding Archetypes.

The action-role-playing game Remnant 2 features different missions and bosses. As a result, Remnant 2 introduces Engrams as a means to defeat those bosses. However, Engrams are unique items that grant traits and perks to the weapons and characters in the game. Every Engram in Remnant 2 has their respective Archetypes.

Therefore, Engrams provide unique abilities to the related Archetype when players equip them. In Remnant 2, players can access these Engrams from their inventory whenever needed. However, you can only equip one Engram at a time. But later in the game, they can equip the new one when they find another. So players must choose strategically which Engram they equip, as it could be the difference between survival and death.

Key Takeaways

  • Engrams can provide players exclusive traits and diverse benefits to improve their gameplay.
  • Therefore, those Engrams can help players fight against bosses in Remnant 2.
  • Remnant 2 comes with Ten different Engrams and their Archetypes. However, Engrams can provide some unique abilities to Archetypes.
  • However, players can equip more than one Engram by dropping the one they have already equipped.
  • Engrams in Remnant 2 can be crafted in Ward 13 and talking to an NPC.
  • In Remnant 2, Engrams can provide players with extra Skills, Perks, and Traits.

However, to craft all Engrams, I had to visit Ward 13 and meet with an NPC named Wallace. Players should note that they must use Engram from their inventory if they want their character to gain experience and level up. Thus, when the Engram is equipped, the player’s level will increase when they defeat different bosses in the game.

Iron Cylinder

I got the Iron Cylinder by talking to Mudtooth in Ward 13 and then brought it to Wallace to get my Gunslinger Archetype. Therefore, when equipped, it will unlock Gunslinger, an Archetype. The Gunslinger is a class that focuses on close-quarters combat and uses a variety of powers to defeat enemies. However, once players have been equipped with the Iron Cylinder, they can adopt the strengths of Gunslinger.

So that players can use their weapons more efficiently. Also, it can provide Perks to enhance their combat skills and Traits to give the players an edge in the game. Therefore, players need to move to Wallace in Ward 13 to craft Iron Cylinder and get all powers to Gunslinger. The Iron Cylinder will be prepared only during the game’s beginning during character creation.

Crafting Materials

First of all, players need to find the Crafting Materials that have been listed below.

  • A Worn Cylinder (But the problem is players need to get the Worn Cylinder from Mudtooth by asking about his stories multiple times.)
  • 10x Lumenite Crystal
  • 1,000 Scrap Points

Moreover, the Iron Cylinder will be forged on the following weapons;

  • It can be used on Long Guns like XMG57 Bonesaw.
  • Also, on Hand Gun MP60-R.

Caduceus Idol

I found the Caduceus Idol Engram with Doctor Norah inside Ward 13 in Remnant 2. However, when players are equipped with Caduceus Idol, it can help them unlock Medic Archetype in Remnant 2. Therefore, the Medic Archetype will provide players with unique abilities, perks, and traits to improve their combat skills and to provide an edge over enemies.

Moreover, the Medic Archetype can heal teammates and provide support through buffs and debuffs so that this Engram can give the players a unique experience and a distinct advantage in battle. Players will get Medic Skill, perks, and traits by unlocking Caduceus Idol. Like Iron Cylinder, Caduceus Idol will be crafted only at the beginning of the game.

Also, Caduceus Idol can be forged on multiple weapons. Some of them are written below.

  • Caduceus Idol can be forged on a Service pistol
  • Also, on Steel Flail

Philosopher’s Stone

Philosopher’s Stone is a very rare Engram in Remnant 2. With the Philosopher’s Stone, players can unlock the Alchemist Archetype, explore the world of Remnant 2 with powerful abilities, and master the game. Due to this Stone, players can unleash the complete powers of Alchemist. However, let me tell you that getting this Engram is not as easy as the previous ones in this list.

However, equipping Alchemist from Philosopher Stone will unlock its skills and perks and improve the character’s gameplay and fighting techniques. Players can get this Archetype only at the beginning of character creation, like other Archetypes.

  • A Philosopher’s Stone, which you can get from Manticora in the event of Manticora from the Drain in Morrow Parish.

In addition, Alchemist will allow players to revive teammates and provide extra health to other players.

Golden Compass

In Remnant 2, Golden Compass is a vital Engram to unlock the Explorer Archetype, allowing players to explore the world of Remnant 2. I was able to acquire the Golden Compass by just finishing the main campaign. In addition, when players craft Explorer Archetype, they will get diverse benefits.

Due to this, players will get a massive amount of buff in their Skills because they can navigate anywhere using their Golden Compass Engram. However, you can unlock Explorer Archetype at the beginning of character creation.

Steel Enswell

Equipping Steel Enswell will unlock the Challenger Archetype, and players can use its Perks and traits to get unique abilities and strengths to fight opponents. Getting this Engram was fairly easy for me. All I had to do was buy it from Reggie at Ward 13. However, this steel piece can help players heal their wounds when pressed on them.

Moreover, this Engram and its respective Archetype will be available only at the beginning of character creation.

  • 1,000 Scrap points
  • 1x Old Metal Tool, which players have to buy from Reggie for 15,00 Scrap points.

Silent Whistle

In Remnant 2, Silent Whistle is an exceptional Engram that will unlock the Handler Archetype. By equipping this item, players can gain access to a set of unique abilities that are specific to the Handler class. However, Handler’s powers can be used to increase the effectiveness of their character and give them an edge over other players.

Moreover, this Engram can train or control dogs due to its ultrasonic frequencies, which humans cannot perceive. Only dogs or animals can listen to those frequencies, which players can use to manage.

Crafting Materials

Like other Engrams, players can craft this at Wallace in Ward 13. However, some of the crafting materials that players can find to forge this Engram are written below;

  • 1,000 ScrapPoints
  • 10x Lumenite Crystals
  • An Old Whistle (Players must buy it from Mudtooth for 15,00 Scrap Points).

Tomb Of The Bringer

In Remnant 2, Tomb of the Bringer unlocks the Summoner Archetype. Due to this, players can become Summoners. However, players can equip this Engram to get diverse benefits in their combat skills. Tomb of the Briger can be crafted in Ward 13. However, Summoners Archetype is a book that will increase damage, attack speed, and movement speed.

Players can summon minions to carry out their orders in Remnant 2 with the help of the Summoner Archetype. However, minions can also increase damage effects, making players more vicious.

However, players must first craft a Faded Grimoire using Blood Moon Essence at Bloodmoon Altar.

Sniper War Medal

Sniper War Medal is another unique Engram in Remnant 2 that can unlock Hunter’s Archetype. However, equipping Hunter’s Archetype will provide players with Skills, Traits, and Perks. Therefore, players can enhance their combat skills by using Hunter.

  • Rusty Old Medal, which players must buy from Barbus for 15,00 Scrap points.

Listed below are the Build on which Sniper War Medal can be forged;

  • Head Armor
  • Body Armor
  • MP60-R Hand Gun

Serrated Root Blade

Serrated Root Blade is an Engram that plays a crucial role in Remnant 2. This Engram can unlock the Invader Archetype to provide diverse benefits of combat skills. By equipping this Archetype, players can access powerful abilities and traits that can turn the tide of battle in their favor. However, Serrated Root Blade is like a soft flesh that glows from the front side.

But it is very sharp from every corner that it can kill enemies in seconds.

Crafting Materials

Players can craft this Engram at Ward 13 by using the following materials;

  • A Wooden Shiv (Players need to fight Bane to get Wooden Shiv)

  • 1,000 Scrap Points

Drzyr Caliper

Dryzr Caliper is a measuring device that finds flaws. However, the spot that this device found is human ingenuity. This device works on the subatomic level to rearrange matters of different objects. Moreover, this Engram unlocks the Engineer Archetype, providing players with other skills and traits.

The Engineer Archetype is a powerful class that can modify weapons, build structures, and craft items. The only way to unlock this class is through Dryzr Caliper’s Engram, which requires rare materials found only in Ward 13.

Crafting Materials

To craft this Engram, players need the following items;

  • 1x Allien Device (This device can sometimes be seen in the contaminated area, but players can also find it more often in N’Erud at the corner of the Eon Vault)
  • 1,000 Scrap Points
  • 10x Lumenite Crystals

In addition, players can forge Engineer Archetype on the following weapons;

  • A Long Gun like Plasma Cutter
  • Players can forge it on a Hand Gun like Enigma

Players can also change their Engrams and Respective Archetypes in Remnant 2. However, when players first enter the game, they possess zero Engrams until they meet Wallace in Ward 13. Wallace will present various Archetype options like Engineer, Challenegr, Handler, and Invader. So, players have to choose one from all Archetypes.

Thus, the Archetype and its corresponding Engram would be added to their inventory. Players can access it from the Archetype menu by pressing J from their keyboard. However, if players want to change their current Engram, they need to find a new one, and by changing their Engram to the new one, they will lose their progress. It’s not recommended for players to change their Engrams.
