Location of Thaen Seed

To obtain the Thaen Seed, the first step is to acquire the Ornate Key and the Ornate LockBox.

• I came across the Key in the World of Yaesha, particularly The Widows’s Court. Here, you will find a corpse with a Tarnished Key and a note instructing the key holder not to open the box.

• The second step is finding the Ornate LockB0x. This was a little tricky, as I had to find an illusionary wall in the Widow’s Court. There will be an elevator at the end of the path behind the Illusionary wall. Use the elevator to ascend into the room that has The Ornate LockBox.

• To reach the Ilussionary wall, move to the exit on the other half of the map; you will find a waterfall near that exit; jump into it. I recommend making sure you land on the stone ledge halfway down first to avoid losing too much Health. Th, from the ledge, jump into the pool of water below.
• There will be tunnels on both sides, one leading into a corridor with the chest and Illusionary wall. Opposite the chest will be a wall; go through it. In this waterfall, there are enemies, so clear them out before jumping in.

After locating the Ornate LockBox, I had two choices moving forward:

1. You can either hand over this Ornate LockBox as it is to the Eternal Empress and gain the Red Doe Sigil. Although the Red Doe Sigil is an essential piece of equipment.
2. It increases healing effectiveness, and its effects become 2x when the Health of the player wearing it goes below 50%. It is only valuable for players going for a build with more healing.
3. Otherwise, you also have a choice to unlock the box using the Ornate Keys and get the Thaen Seed from it.

I recommend opening the box and receiving Thaen Seed, which is a more worthy reward. However, if you are going for builds with increased healing ability, I would ask you to consider the Red Doe Sigil. 

Thaen Fruit

During my playthrough, I planted the Thaen Seed in the garden at Ward 13.  The seed eventually grew into a tree and provided Thaen Fruit for the rest of my run. Based on time growth, the Thaen Fruit can be Mature Thaen Fruit, Elder Thaen Fruit, and Celestial Thaen Fruit. 

• Mature Thaen Fruit: When allowed to grow for a short time, Thaen Fruit grows into Mature Thaen Fruit. This Fruit will offer Revival with 30% Health Restored and Immunity to Status attacks for 30 seconds.

• Elder Thaen Fruit: When allowed to grow for a more extended time, Thaen Fruit grows into Elder Thaen Fruit. This Fruit will restore 40% of Health and Immunity to Status attacks for 30 seconds.

• Celestial Thaen Frut, when allowed to grow for an extended time, develops into Celestial Fruit. This Fruit will restore 50% of Health with Immunity to Status Attacks for 30 seconds.

My Thoughts

In my experience, going for the Thaen Seed proved to be very beneficial in the long run. I had a whole array of Fruits that made my campaign much more accessible. Therefore, I cannot emphasize enough to players for going the extra mile to obtain the Thaen Seed. 

However, it would still prove very effective if you still go for the Red Doe Sigil. Moreover, if your build is already very tanky, adding the sigil would make you almost invincible. I still find it incredibly exciting how even the same items in the game could lead to different outcomes, each with pros and cons.
