Table of Contents
The ArchaicTunic is an early game clothing item and armor in the Tears of the Kingdom.
The Tunic is one of the two pieces of the complete Archaic outfit. You can also find Archaic Legwear in the game, which will complete your outfit.
These clothing items provide no real durability effect and may as well be entirely cosmetic.
Moreover, the Archaic Tunic can be found near the In-Isa shrine, one of the first shrines players will encounter. The Tunic will be within a chest inside the Ponside Cave near the shrine.
However, Archaic Legwear can be found even earlier in the game. It will be inside a chest in the Room of the Awakening.
Although, there is an alternative to Archaic Legwear in ArchaicWarm Greaves.
You can find these Archaic Warm Greaves right at the exit of the Gutanbac Shrine. The chest containing the Warm Greaves will be inside a hollow tree stump opposite the exit.
The Archaic Warm Greaves are not purely cosmetic and provide players with cold resistance.
The Archaic Tunic is one of the earliest armors players can encounter in the game. The armor is nothing to brag about and is relatively weak.
However, it still adds the extra layer of protection, which may be vital for the early game. Moreover, the Tunic can also be found near the In-Isa shrine, one of the first shrines players visit.
Furthermore, the Tunic is one of two pieces of the Archaic set. You can also find Archaic Legwear in different locations, which will complete your outfit. Even if in the slightest, the complete armor will add a small amount of protection. Nevertheless, the Archaic set has a rustic look, making Link look tough overall. Plus, the color green has always been Link’s color.
Archaic Tunic Location
The Archaic Tunic is an early game item making it easier to locate at the very start. Moreover, the Archaic Tunic will be found in a PonsideCave, which will be near the In-Isa shrine.
This is also the GreatSky Island section of the game. Therefore, head South-East from the In-Isa shrine. Take the stairs down and keep running to the East; this will bring you to the entrance of the Pondside Cave.
However, the real search begins once you enter the mouth of the cave. You will encounter a few enemies here, including the Keese bats and the newly added Bubbulfrog. Therefore, bringing a few effective weapons on your journey is best. Keep heading deep inside the cave and collect several items along your way.
Therefore, once you have headed further inside, you will find a chest, and within this chest will be your iconic Archaic Tunic of the Tears of the Kingdom. You can continue to follow your path in the Cave, and soon you will come to the Northern Exit, taking you out of the cave.
However, if you are coming from the Nachoyah Shrine, you will first encounter the Northern entrance of the cave, which is the exit if you entered from the In-Isa shrine. The chest will be right at the Northern entrance of the Pondside Cave.
Archaic Legwear Location
Here is another exclusive item to the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The Archaic Legwear does not provide Link with any added protection. Moreover, these items are purely cosmetic and do not provide any additional perks. However, the Legwear does complete the Archaic theme outfit, and getting to the legwear is easier than finding the Tunic.
The Archaic Legwear is hard to miss, and every player is bound to collect it initially. Therefore, the Archaic Legwear will be found in the Room of Awakening, inside a chest that will be almost impossible to miss. Moreover, once you put these on, they provide a rustic look, and the weathered sandals make you look like a seasoned veteran.
Archaic Warm Greaves Legwear
The Archaic Warm Greaves Legwear provides you with a great alternative to the Archaic Legwear. Unlike the simple and ordinary Archaic Legwear, the Warm Greaves provides the players with some cold resistance. This allows players to explore the coldest regions of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom without freezing to death.
Moreover, these go well with your Tunic and complete the overall outfit. Therefore, if you are not impressed by the Archaic Legwear, check these out and get the additional perk of Cold Resistance.
Archaic Warm Greaves Location
The Archaic Warm Greaves can be found in the icy cold, snow-covered Eastern region of the SkyIslands. However, it is better to first unlock the Ascent ability before coming to claim your Warm Greaves. Players can unlock the Ascend ability at the GutanbacShrine in the same region. The Gutanbac Shrine is an early shrine players will encounter, so you can collect this item early on.
Once you exit the Gutanbac Shrine, you will see a giant tree stump covered in ice opposite the exit. This half-cut tree is hollow and contains the chest to give you your Archaic Warm Greeves. However, you must use Ascend to climb the ledge next to the tree. Once on top, you will see the chest containing your reward.
Moreover, eating a few Spicy Peppers is recommended before you start exploring this region. The peppers will grant you cold resistance for a while, giving you enough time to put this legwear on. This legwear and the Spicy Peppers will be your greatest assets against the harsh cold environments of the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom contains items for Link to collect. Some of these items can be clothing outfits that change the appearance of our main character. These items, such as the Archaic Tunic and Legwear, can sometimes be purely cosmetic. However, they sometimes come with additional perks, such as the cold resistance provided by the Warm Greaves.
Still, these clothing items are designed to make Link look like a true warrior and protector of the Hyrule. Moreover, the Archaic Tunic and Legwear are fairly easy to find in the Tears of the Kingdom. You will most likely encounter these items early in your campaign. They are strategically placed where players would find it impossible to miss these.
The world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is immense and full of places and items for players to discover. Therefore, you should pay attention to every last corner of this rich and vast map, and you may find something previously not found by other players.
