There has been a recent leak that tells us that Advanced Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp has been delayed. What this means for the game and its eventual release is discussed in the article.
Nintendo has delayed Advanced Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. The word of this comes from Stephen Totilo over on Twitter, who asked the company directly if it was canceled or not. Apparently, Nintendo responded and said that it had only been delayed, not canceled.
I asked Nintendo if Advance Wars 1 + 2 has been cancelled, given the lack of news about it since it was delayed due to the invasion of Ukraine.
Nintendo rep's reply: "The release has been delayed. We will announce the new date once it has been determined."

They said that the game would announce more about the game as soon as they had determined a new release date. This leak should comfort advanced war fans as they wait for official news to come out on their new game.
Reason Behind The Delay
If you don’t know, the whole reason that this entry into the advanced wars series was delayed was due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Due to this, it is apparent that Nintendo felt it would be distasteful to release a game focused on war as the primary point while the actual conflict was ongoing. This decision might have been a good idea or come off as tasteless for both the franchise and the company.
So with this news, we can look to the future and know that the game is looking good. But what is this game?
Advanced Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is a reboot of the Advanced Wars franchise. The Advanced Wars titles are turn-based tactics and strategies that have been part of Nintendo for a while. They are one of the few tactics games that can be instantly connected to the Nintendo catalog.
The series always places you in the role of a commander of one of the factions of a fictional continent. The commander has complete control over their army, and it is up to them to win battles through strategy and intelligence.
You will have access to plenty of equipment, with at least 18 units available for the mission. Sometimes it is more, though, depending on the entry.
While the story does differ between the entries, there is usually a recurring enemy in the black hole army. A rogue military group often causes problems the player will have to deal with throughout the game. Since this game is a reboot and /or remake of the first two, this enemy is likely to be the main one for the game.
It is also good to see many of the other characters have made a comeback in the 3d art style. This art change gives long-time fans an excellent opportunity to see so much of the world they are familiar with in a new light.
We will keep an eye on Advanced Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp to see when it will be released and if more leaks come out.
