As we all know, Ubisoft and many other developers have internal names for their projects. For instance, Assassins Creed Victory turned out to be Syndicate, and the Assassins Creed Kingdom was Valhalla. Well, now we learn that Assassin Creed Rift is Assassins Creed Mirage.
In February, Jason Schreier, a reputable gaming journalist, reported that Ubisoft had turned an Assassins Creed Valhalla expansion starring Basim into a stand-alone game that will be released later this year or in 2023. While the game is on the horizon, new leaks and updates surf the internet.
Assassins Creed: Nothing Is right. Everything Is Legal.
AC is a series of action-adventure games which are developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The series was first released in 2007, proceeding with several sequels. The games follow the adventures of Desmond Miles, an assassin who has been sent back in time with the belief that he can prevent his ancestors’ assassination attempt on Caesar Augustus during the Roman Empire.
In this way, you can use your skills and experience to complete missions for your order throughout history and uncover secrets about yourself and what led you down this path. The game’s plot revolves around the conflict between an organization of assassins known and a secret society called Templars.
The story is set in various periods of history, each with its respective fictional representation.
- In ancient Egypt,
- During the French Revolution
- In 18th century Mexico City, Ezio Auditore da Firenze works with his allies against Rodrigo Borgia’s Templar order during their reign over Italy’s capital city during 1511-1388 CE.
The game series is a pack of adventure, thrill, and action all in one place.
Assassins Creed Mirage: Contents
Jonathan, a French YouTuber who was the first to share images of the Odin powers in Valhalla, revealed information about Assassins Creed Mirage. The game will take place around 860 to 870 in Baghdad in the middle of Samara’s chaos, the game will take place around 860-870 Baghdad.
That was a time of conflict in the Abbasid Dynasty with four political leaders. As already leaked, we will portray Basim as a young thief.
Assassins Creed Mirage will include numerous towns to explore, divided by deserts and different rivers. Furthermore, the game is anticipated to be a flashback to its origins, primarily based on the initial Assassin’s Creed title, published in 2007.
The gameplay will change somewhat from Valhalla, appear less raw, and include new animations. Eagle vision is back, so we can likely stand still in skinny environments instead of having the pills we got in Valhalla. The drone bird is here; we think the Valhalla blueprint shines through.
The drone bird is such a core element in that game that it is hard to remove that altogether. Basim can use String Dagger and also a hidden blade on rivals. Additionally, Mirage will have visions of Basim’s rival Loki.
We are deep into River territory here, but allegedly, the return to form will remove RPG elements from the competition. Hence, no dialogue options, which, to be fair, were also less present in Valhalla.
Also, we will not be able to change gender, which makes sense since this story will focus on Basim. There’s also no level system in this game, so we can likely explore every part of Baghdad, which seems more interesting.
According to the leak, Ubisoft is also working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed I based on Mirage’s work with many assets reused. The remake will be available several months later as part of Mirage’s season pass. It will include a DLC in Constantinople, where Basim meets Sigurd.
Hopefully, we will be surprised on September 10th. Because that is likely the date that Ubisoft will reveal the future of Assassin Creed during Ubisoft Forward. The game seems to be coming to PS4 and Xbox one because it’s running on the Valhalla tools.
It was first a DLC, and Ubisoft also seems afraid that the old formula will not attract users, which is very interesting, so that’s why it would also be stupid not to release it on Xbox One and PS4.
Artwork
We also got another updated news from a very reliable source. Looking at the image, we’re about to have our first truly solid idea of the next mainline Assassin’s Creed game. It looks like a younger Basim, we will likely see how he joins the hidden ones. Although in this image, he’s already accepted, looking at the hood and the eagle beak, blue and red robes. The image confirms the leak that Jonathan shared.
Pre-Order Quest
Another image leaked by Script shows the title 40 thieves quest, which we see in the smaller versions of the same image this is either a pre-order quest like The Way of The Berserker was. For example, for Valhalla, or maybe it’s an exclusive quest we get after buying the season pass or like the gold or ultimate edition of the game.
The franchise wanted to reveal it at the event first, but because of the new leak, they decided to share it. It is wise to control the news, but we had this countless times. For Assassins Creed Odyssey, they shared a GIF before the official reveals at E3, but now they showed way more. We are excited to see the new Assassins Creed Mirage in the upcoming event.
Assassins Creed: A Franchise Worth It!
Ubisoft has been leading the industry of open-world gameplay with their Assassin’s Creed series. The latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is in the midst of development and is all set to release. The expansive storyline, deep combat system, and stunning graphics have all contributed to the success of this franchise.
Variety is always pleasing, even when talking about video games. Any level of change gets the player focused and in action. This is a new way to win the player base in many instances, which becomes accustomed to the same storyline and gameplay for a few titles in the series. Change can be scary, but the player can usually accept the difference easily when it is done wonderfully.
That’s all exclusive news for today. We’d love to hear your opinions, so please share them in the comments below.
