(1/3) There's an unannounced horror game remake of a horror IP that hasn't had a new anything in 10+ years that comes out next year that someone was kind enough to fill me in on. I wasn't originally gonna' say anything, but I actually can't stop thinking about it. I don't think

The upcoming game is planned for 2023, and there haven’t been any official announcements on it whatsoever. The expected announcement could be on The Game Awards if it is planned to be released in 2023. And since Dusk Golem also stated that it would be a surprise when it’s upheld in the spotlight, that statement just hands down proves that it will be released with a banger and during huge crowd in The Game Awards.
There’s an unannounced horror game remake of a horror IP that hasn’t had new anything in 10+ years that comes out next year that someone was kind enough to fill me in on. I wasn’t originally gonna’ to say anything, but I actually can’t stop thinking about it.
I don’t think it’s going to get much appreciation from the mainstream gaming media outside of the surprise it’s being remade, but I think some horror fans will be really happy about it. It’s not mine to share outside of teasing it a bit like this, but since it’s releasing in 2023, I can’t imagine the announcement is that far off.
It’s a crazy time to be a horror game fan with so many franchises returning; Resident Evil 7 & REmake 2 really got the gears turning there, & I’m happy about it.
Clarifying Dusk’s statement about the mainstream media not liking the game very much will be loved by horror genre fans. So it is confirmed to be not mainstream or either it was mainstream. Either that or the game is considered not to need a remaster or a sequel like that.
Here is a small list of games possibly getting the remake:
- Parasite Eve
- Nightmare Creatures
- Cold Fear
- Eternal Darkness
Many more games are also speculated to receive the remake. For those who think it could be Left 4 dead, it is worth noting that it is a very mainstream title. For that instance, there’s a very hard chance it will be brought up for remake. The same goes for Dino Crisis, but in its case, its last game was actually almost two decades ago. Even though I’m not against the idea of another Dino Crisis, we need to rule that out.
Lastly, there was also another post from Dusk Golem, which is a quoted retweet for his first tweet stating that there was indeed the content of it in between the 10-year time period, and he wasn’t aware of it somehow. So this confirms 100% that it isn’t a mainstream game at all.
That’s all the information we have on the matter of the Dusk Golem remake of the horror game in development, and we will try to keep you updated.
