Sadly this game has been delayed a few times, and it is beginning to look like hungry fans will have to wait a little longer. This is because it is beginning to look like Forza Motorsport will be released in the year’s second half. This will be a mild annoyance to fans, but it could offer so much more in return.

Forza has long been one of the best racing games you could play on an Xbox, and it still aims to be that and more. The next entry in the series will be Forza Motorsport, attempting to be one of the most advanced games on Xbox. Due to this lofty goal, the project has been delayed before, and it appears it will be again.
We found this information from the podcast Game Mess Decides, where Jeff Grubb states that he has heard it will not come out in the first half of 2023. Now the game was originally going to be released in spring 2023. That date has not been affirmed yet, and it seems they are pushing it back within the company. This isn’t surprising, but they have not made this announcement official.
That is understandable if the game will be pushed back into the fall, even if it frustrates fans. No one wants to play a bug-ridden mess like some games are at launch, so it is alright to delay it if need be. On the other hand, avoiding the topic together as the devs seem to be is a terrible idea as you are getting fans’ hopes up and letting them down in equal measure.
Now there isn’t a lot specifically known about Forza Motorsport, but given what we know, the delay is understandable. The game is set to feature more than 500 real-world cars for you to use and over 800 upgrades to be applied to said cars. The game will also feature some of the most advanced physics and interaction systems the series has ever seen. Couple this with 20 different environments, which is starting to sound like one of the best games you can apply on Xbox.
As I have said, the delay is not the problem but the dev’s silence as we approach the original release date. If they tell us it is delayed, let’s hope they do it sooner rather than later.
