Halo infinite had a lot of content planned for it that didn’t make it into the game’s release. Some of it may release later, and some may never be released, as we have found before in the form of an unfinished wraith model uncovered in Halo Infinite. This ties into the recently discovered leak that the Halo 4 Sentinel was almost in Halo Infinite.
Summary
- A data miner recently found files that show the Halo 4 sentinel would have been in Halo Infinite.
- The leak is also accompanied by images of what the enemy looked like in the game and gives us an idea of what the sentinel would have behaved like.
Cut Halo Infinite Sentinel Model

The discovery of Halo 4 sentinel in the spare assets for Halo Infinite is interesting for several reasons. One of them is that sentinel was a common enemy in previous entries, and its absence after being planned shows a shift in game planning during the game’s development. For another, it shows that it happened late enough after the game model for the enemy had been finished.
There are reasons that this shift might occur in game development. One is balancing as much like the cut wraith model for the game; this particular sentinel might have been hard to fit into the game.
It is not a boss character, but if it were too strong, that would have been a definite reason to cut it. Another reason might be that other enemies better fit the level design or the environment. There could have also been other new enemies that they wanted to implement, so the sentinel would have to take a back seat.
Whatever the reason that the sentinel was cut, it is interesting to see what it would have been like. That is all that we have on Halo 4 sentinel was almost in Halo Infinite.
