Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has been a highly anticipated game since it was initially announced in 2019. Since then, we have been getting teases and glimpses of the game and a sliding scale for release. Hellblade 2 could be coming this year, and we know this for a few different reasons. So let’s go ahead and see why this could be coming this year.

Hellblade 2 has been on many gamers’ lists since they finished the first one, even before the sequel was officially announced. The entire fanbase has been watching the game’s development since it began. The game has only posted a few updates, so many thought it would be released next year. But recent evidence has suggested that we really will get it this year. You can check out the source for this on Reddit.
The biggest hint of this was that Hellblade 2 was recently featured in an ad for the Xbox Game Pass. Now the most important part of the ad for us was a segment in which the Hellblade 2 was showcased. The interesting thing about this is that they will usually only use games coming out soon for these ads. This is to ensure no false expectations for getting the game pass.
With this, it is fair to say that the game must be close to at least a basic completion version if it will still come out by June. Of course, it is also possible that the game could be pushed back a month or two for polishing. The good news is that if it is in this ad, we can look forward to it coming soon.
We don’t know much about the game so far other than it will be a direct continuation of the first. We know from the few glimpses that we have seen that this game will continue the dark and somewhat psychologically intense these of the first.
We also know that there have been major graphical improvements to the game featuring new engines and tech. When Senua’s character trailer dropped on social media, it was difficult to tell that it wasn’t live-action at first; this was an unsettling but major development for both games.
So we will keep an eye out for any more news about this game, as we should be getting some soon with an upcoming release in June and the strong possibility of release on the Game Pass soon after or even the same day as its full release.
