The reason Leather face would be leaving is mainly thought to be due to the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre game. It will be the franchise’s primary video game IP, so it would make sense that the devs wouldn’t want their main character in other games. That is the primary reason, and it does make a lot of sense, don’t worry, though, because if you already bought him from the in-game store, you will get to keep him.
I have also noticed that many thought that because Leatherface is leaving, his abilities will be as well, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. Many have noted that a character’s abilities don’t disappear when that character leaves the game. Instead, their skills become general skills that all or most characters can use. So if there was a particular ability you hated, then bad news, you might see more now, not less.
