Almost 20 years have passed since Mortal Kombat first appeared. It’s one of the longest-running fighting games in history and still holds up as one of the most popular fighting games today. Recently Amazon UK revealed that MK would celebrate its 3-decade anniversary later this year with a surprise for its fans.
We already got the reveal of Mortal Kombat Legend Snow Blind to start the ball on the MK festivities, more things are happening regarding the Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary. This time we got some bundles coming out next month.
Mortal Kombat: Three Decades of Success
MK Ultimate is an action-adventure game developed by American Game Studio NetherRealm and released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The studio has been developing video games since October 1996, with Ed Boon and John Tobias founding the company.
Meanwhile, their most famous Mortal Kombat series has been around for over three decades. The game has a huge fan following worldwide. Mortal Kombat has an extremely large fan base of all ages, including adults who enjoy playing as their favorite characters. It’s also rare to find a game that is loved by both males as well as female players.
Mortal Kombat Ultimate: 30th Anniversary Bundle Details
According to the Amazon listing, the 30th-anniversary bundle will contain Mortal Kombat Ultimate and the Mortal Kombat Movie they released in 2021, housed in an exclusive Steelbook coming out this September. The combo bundle is not that exciting or attractive because we have already seen the movie. We don’t expect NetherRealm to do anything for Mortal Kombat’s 30th Anniversary.
Because if we look at the history back in their 25th Anniversary, they didn’t do anything apart from giving Mobile Cards. The same is the case with their 20th Anniversary nothing was done to honor the game. However, back in 2002 when the game celebrated its 10th Anniversary with the release of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance which was its form of celebration.
Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate is the fourth game in the Mortal Kombat 11 series and serves as a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11.
