There is a rumor that we are about to receive a lot of information about the new Assassin’s Creed games. This rumor would seem to be accurate as we are seeing more and more that suggest we are getting the announcement at Ubisoft forward. We even have leaked about what a few new games will be about.
With that in mind, it seems like a good idea to get into this before the event.
Assassins Creed Mirage
Assassins creed Mirage is technically also a leaked game, but it is the only one we know anything about of all the new Assassin’s Creed games. For several reasons, Mirage will be an exciting installment in the Assassins Creed franchise. For one thing, this will be a prequel to Assassins Creed Valhalla and will follow the origins of the Assassin Basim. Because of this, there will also be a few other changes.
One of the biggest is the removal of some RPG elements from the game. Being able to change your gender is being removed as this game will focus on Basim. Another prominent feature, the dialogue options, is being removed as well. Again is due to the being solely Basim story.
Aside from these changes, we don’t know much about Mirage. The only other things are that it will have to involve Basim becoming an assassin. The other thing is that he will meet Loki sometime in the game. This entry is likely the new game that will get the most attention at Ubisoft Forward. Assassins Creed Project Red
Next up is one that I know will excite many people because they have been asking for it since some of the earliest assassins creed games. Assassins Creed Project Red will be the first Assassins Creed game set in ancient Japan.
This setting sounds like a match made in heaven right off the top of most people’s heads. There are few details about this game, but it has a few interesting facts.
One of these is that it appears your character may start as a samurai. This decision would be interesting as I think most people would assume an AC game in Japan would involve ninjas. This plot development may be part of the overall larger plot of the game, which would be interesting.
The second feature we know about is that you will be able to choose the gender of your character. We don’t know if other RPG elements will make their way into the game, but even just this is interesting.
Hopefully, it will still be an element of choice in the games. This game is also a part of Assassins Creed Infinity, but we will discuss that later in the article.
Assassins Creed Project Hexe
This next title is an Assassins Creed game that we know little about. The details being so sparse suggest that we will get more later. We might only get a light amount of coverage at this Ubisoft Forward.
The only in-game detail we have right now is that it will be set in the 16th century. Specifically, this will be taking place during the witch hunts, which does lend its way to an interesting conflict, but beyond that, we don’t know. This title will also be on Assassins Creed Infinity which will also be interesting when paired with project red.
Assassins Creed Project Jade
Assassins Creed Project Jade is an exciting addition to the lineup because it is a mobile game. If this is always slated to be a mobile title would be one of the few Assassins Creed mobile games initially made to be a mobile game. However, this status as a mobile game doesn’t immediately discount it from being a good Assassins Creed game, as it could still contribute to the lore and story.
As for the setting, we know this one will take place in china as the geographical location. The era this is set in, though, is currently unknown, so the weapons and characters we could see are still unknown.
Assassins Creed Project Nexus
This next Assassins Creed project is one of the projects we know the least about out of the whole lineup of games. The only thing we know for sure about it is that it is an Assassins Creed VR project. We don’t know what systems it will be on or anything about the story.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is one that we learn more about the event due to this. A VR game is not as long or in-depth as other types are, and we may see it released sooner than some.
Assassins Creed Valhalla DLC
Assassins creed Valhalla has extended its regular playable lifespan far more than most people thought by using DLC to extend the campaign. The next piece of DLC being announced at Ubisoft Forward will be the last, and with it, Valhalla will close out its playable life.
This latest DLC is sure to be a big send-off for this entry in the franchise considering the last DLC they released was about literal Ragnarok. This may not be one of the new Assassin’s Creed games, but it will be a significant moment at the event.
This news also seems to be building to the eventual reveal of Assassins Creed Infinity. Infinity is being described as a live service instead of an actual game, but it will be used to link games together. So hypothetically, this could be an interface of some kind, or it will just be like a standard game menu.
It has been repeatedly stated that this link, whatever it is, will help you flow between the different games. It is unknown whether it will allow for some crossover between them.
We also know this will be a subscription-based service linked to the new Assassins Creed games. Whether this means you can only buy them through this service or not is unknown. we will keep an eye on all of the new Assassin’s Creed games.
