Persona 3 Portable has been rated in Korea and follows its expected release on significant consoles and pc. The game had yet to be officially released to consoles, and now it has been rated for 15 and up. This rating is good as it keeps this Persona’s rating in line with the others in the series. It helps keep the broad audience of teens and adults that the series has maintained throughout its history.
The game will release on September 2nd for PC as this seems to coincide with the nearing Tokyo game show. This time frame means they did wait till the last minute to get the game rated, but now that it has been, the game can release as scheduled. The other versions of this game will maintain the same rating level, but other versions for Switch and Xbox consoles won’t come til 2023.
What Is Persona 3 Portable About?
Persona 3 portable follows a similar plot structure and gameplay idea to the persona series’ other entries. The basic concept is that you are a teenager who begins to attend Gekkoukan high school in the city of Iwatodai.
Iwatodai is no ordinary city, though, and it has a big problem called the Dark Hour. This problem was created by the Kirijo Corporation, which also built the city. The company was running an experiment, and it got out of control.
Now there is an extra hour of the day called the Dark Hour, and most people fall uncurious during it. Worse, the local high school becomes a tower and dungeon filled with shadows called Tartarus. These creatures attack the few people that remain conscious during the dark hour and leave them in a coma afterward.
What Is The Game Play Like?
As you attend High School, you will find that you stay awake during the dark hour and you are capable of using a persona. A powerful creature or monster represents an aspect of Taro and can destroy shadows. You will join with other students who can do the same and fight to stop the dark hour and protect others.
This entry was the first to introduce the social link system. This system allows the player to develop their relationship with the other characters. Doing this allows you to unlock a unique persona that can help you win the game. This social link system may be what took the rating so long cause it can cover some more in-depth parts of teenage life. But now Persona 3 Portable has been rated and will be out soon enough.
We will keep an eye out for more news regarding Persona 3 Portable.
