The game has sold one million copies worldwide, accounting for both physical and digital sales. The total number of sales of Persona 5 Royal has now reached 3.3 million on all platforms.

Persona 5 is a game developed by ATLUS and is one of the games of the long-running Persona series since 1996. The game is about a student who was transferred to high school because of some false accusations of assault. The game is about solving a mass murder mystery and revolves around a particular magic-focused turn-based combat. The Persona series is a phenomenal RPG game in the industry and has inspired a lot of RPG turn-based combat games as well.
The initial release of Persona 5 Royal was on the 31st of October 2019. At the time of release, it was exclusive to the PlayStation 4 console and received quite several DLCs and content later on till now. The remastered version of Persona 5 Royal was ported to PC via steam and for next-generation consoles like PlayStation 5. The remastered version features all the DLCs released for the main game throughout the year.
Till now, combining both Persona 5 games, the original and the remastered, accounts for a grand total of 3.3 million sales as of November 2022. Additionally, all the Persona 5 games and DLCs total 8.3 million units sold. Persona series has sold 16.8 million units worldwide as of November 2022.
Persona 5 Royal remastered sale likely depends on most of its sales being on PC via Steam. The game was a PlayStation exclusive until recently, and the PC port has invited many players to enjoy this fantastical gem of an RPG for the very first time on PC.
