Pokemon, by this time, is known for a lot of things that range from warm memories to a genuinely monumental franchise. One of the things that the game is known for is its vast roster of Pokemon, and sometimes we either get new ones or redesign them. Well, we could be getting more, as two new Pokemon sprites have been spotted during Championship Stream later today.

- These new sprites appear to belong to Volbeat and Kabuto, with the sprites appearing from Scarlet and Violet.
- These models are not currently used in the game, and it is causing some to wonder if we will see other new sprites at a later date.
Two new Pokemon sprites have been spotted, which has sent a whole portion of the Pokemon community into overdrive. The two were spotted from a Scarlet & Violet interface that was visible during the San Diego Regional championship stream. This interface is not currently used in the game, giving us a different look at two Pokemon. You can find the original post from Mattyouhana on Twitter.
During the San Diego Regional Championships stream today, their manual sprite selector for team previews accidentally showed off Scarlet & Violet style menu sprites for Pokémon that are not currently in the games.

The two different Pokemon in question are believed to be Volbeat and Kabuto, and their overall design appears similar to that of BDSP. Of course, the image is pixelated, so that may not be the case. We also don’t know exactly whether these are Volbeat and Kabuto. They could also be some new Pokemon or DLC skins. There is a possibility of any of these at the moment, so only time will tell which.
This does also leave the possibility of there being characters that have been given this same treatment. Whether they will also be redesigns or whole new Pokemon remains to be seen, but it is something to look for in the future.
