Wyrdsong is a highly anticipated RPG from the Something Wicked Studios. The game is set to be one of the most interesting and expansive RPGs ever. Now we have even more exciting news for this game as the Wyrdsong new concept arts have been revealed.
Summary
- The new concept art was released in one of Something Wicked Game’s recent news and update posts.
- The concept has given a better look at some of the game’s content, including environments and possibly the magic or otherworldly qualities in the game.
- This aims to be one of the most ambitious RPGs in recent years, including scale and ideas.
Wyrdsong is an upcoming RPG from the studio Something Wicked Games and comes to us from creators Jeff Gardiner and Charles Staples. Jeff Gardiner is a formal of Bethesda Game Studios, and Charles Staples is formerly the entertainment designer for Obsidian.
Together they are teaming up to create an all-new RPG that will combine their unique skills. That RPG is Wyrdsong, unlike any RPG that has been out in the last few years.
The game aims to be a detailed RPG and a psychological horror component. The game will see players as members of the Knights Templar in medieval Portugal while many strange and possibly arcane happenings occur.
The creators have stated that they want the players to question their reality constantly. So I would picture something like Dead Space as one of the more fundamental ideas around how this could look. Now we have a look at new concept art thinks to Shinobi602.

The art just released would seem to support this idea about what the game could be like when playing it. Our first image is of a large stone structure that could be a church or library set on top of a mountain. This might even relate to the Knights Templar, such as being their base in the game or at least being an outpost.
The second piece is also interesting as it is an unknown figure staring at a set of destroyed ruins. The sky overhead is dark and cloudy, with only a single streak of light shining down to illuminate the site.
Most ruins are hard to identify, but a special section has shattered stained glass. It is unknown whether this could be the building from before or a different site altogether, but I doubt it.
The last image is a different shot of what appears to be a continuation of the previous one, as the color pallet is roughly the same. Here though, we see the future from before now standing atop an altar, raising his hands to the heavens where multiple celestial bodies are now visible.
This would appear to tie into the part of the game where rituals and possibly magic might be involved. If this sequence is animated just like this image, it would be a head trip, to be sure.
That is all that we have on the Wyrdsong new concept arts revealed.
