The Nintendo Switch has had a good run, with titles ranging far and wide from Zelda Breath of The Wild to Super Mario Odyssey. Sadly all good things must end, and the Switch is heading toward its end. People think this because it appears that Zelda will be the last big title for the Switch.
Summary
- Both Andy Robinson and Christoper Dring have commented that it appears that Tears of The Kingdom will be the last major release on Switch.
- This being the last major release for the console indicates that Nintendo will be releasing a new console in the next few years.
- There is also speculation that the lack of other big games for the console indicates that those games are being developed for the next-gen entry.
In two separate Twitter posts, Andy Robinson and Christoper Dring commented that Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom will be the last major release for the Nintendo Switch. This is an interesting observation, as there is no other scheduled major release after this title. This isn’t to say no games are coming out, just that Zelda is the only major title. This has led many to speculate that Nintendo will release a next-generation console in the following few years.
From what I’m hearing I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo starts talking about new hardware by 2024. I’m not convinced another huge first-party game other than Zelda is left on Switch (usual Nintendo prediction caveats apply…) https://t.co/96CSoLd0Dn

Another strong indication is that if no more significant releases are announced for the Switch, they must already be in development for the next console. This would be logical since Nintendo has never wanted to sleep off the development of its titles. They like to have them out regularly to keep up the fanbase.
No, I didn't mean literally nothing. I have heard that after Zelda, Nintendo doesn't have a significant game for quite some time

This seems likely because the Switch was released in 2017, making it seven years old by 2024. By this time, most gaming companies want a new console that they can sell with better features and generate profit. So it would seem likely that the estimates are accurate and Zelda will be the last title on Switch, but if so, there could be no better send-off for the console. In many ways, it is poetic, considering that the Switch was brought to popularity because of a Zelda Game, and now it will go out with one.
That is all we have on the fact that Zelda will be the last big title for the Switch.
