Sea Of Thieves has done something gaming fans have wanted for years in the latest video game titles. This latest drop in and out of matchmaking system lets players matchmake in real-time and enter another person’s game without a loading screen. For the time being, this is limited to the vs. mode, but we might see it on others with time.
It is also important to note that this does not just throw players into the game directly. The player’s ship is kept in a waiting area where the crew can prepare the vessel for battle. This is a good choice, as if you were just to throw players into the fight, it could cause pandemonium.

This is a technical achievement that will affect not only Sea Of Thieves but other games as well. By implementing this method, we could see games starting to abandon loading screens and having, at the very least interactive rooms. I would rather have a simulation of a load-out room than a blank picture to stare at while playing a game.
