With the gaming industry confused about its future, many question what games we can expect in the coming years. In particular, multiplayer games have ruled the market recently, with many wondering what single-player offerings there may be. Fortunately, two major single-player titles might be slated for release next year: Death Stranding 2 & Rise of the Ronin.
Summary
- Death Stranding 2 and Rise of the Road have been speculated to be released in 2024. Meanwhile, it appears that the latest details confirm the release period.
- The latest news comes from Shinobi602, a well-known industry information provider, with many of his statements proving true.
Despite the criticism, Death Stranding 2 has been much anticipated since the original game came out. At the same time, Rise of the Ronin is also beloved for promising Japanese mythologies and periods. The fact both of these titles were linked together is interesting as it might mean that they could be released within a similar timeframe.
The information appears to come from Hugo Azevedo on X( formerly known as Twitter). Unfortunately, this is not an official confirmation, but when an industry insider comments on specifically anticipated titles, it means something.

Death Stranding 2 is expected to build off the lore and establishment from the first game. It would be a direct sequel, but given the game’s creator, there’s no way of telling what you will get.
Conversely, Rise of the Ronan is expected to be one of next year’s more popular single-player action titles. It will be set during Japan’s conflict and political upheaval, setting an open stage for the player to leave a mark on history. It is under development by Team Ninja, who also developed the much-beloved Ninja Gaiden series, Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
We strongly advise taking this information with a grain of salt as the community still awaits the official release announcement from both studios.
