Rebel Wolves Has Secured Funding From NetEase

Rebel Wolves are one of the latest in a long line of new companies formed from staff leaving a previously established company to make a new one. In this case, the company is mainly made up of talent who had previously worked for CD Projekt Red for the Witcher games. The company had already been formed and announced its next project, but funding was needed. Well, the latest news revealed that Rebel Wolves had secured funding from NetEase.

In this case, they have invested in Rebel Wolves, and in exchange, they have taken a minority share of the company. This means that Rebel Wolves will have the funding they need while still being in complete creative control of the company.

This could be a good thing for everybody as it will allow them to work on their new project. We don’t have a lot of details on this new project other than it will be a Dark RPG and it will be made using Unreal Engine 5. This doesn’t tell us much, considering it comes from the people who made the Witcher series. It is all we need for now.
