One of the most important aspects I learned during the fight was to move around during the fight constantly. Not only did this help me dodge missiles, but it also allowed me to get close to Balteus to land melee attacks.

Being fast and responsive is the key to dodging these dangers well. To improve your chances, here are some practical tips to help you avoid BALTEUS’s different attacks. If you practice being fast at reacting, you can have an advantage in the battle and stay ahead of the tough challenges that BALTEUS’s strong tactics bring.

The fight with BALTEUS features two phases; you need a good plan for each part. As the battle continues, it’s essential to understand this change and how it changes things. BALTEUS has a moment when its shield is down and weak, but this moment doesn’t last long. 

Running and hitting Balteus with everything you have is highly recommended whenever it is stunned. I used my Pulse Rifle to drain Baltues’s shield quickly, and as soon as I had stunned Baltues. Plus, you can use boosters to close the gap and land Melee attacks.

Finding the correct times to attack, moving along with the battle’s rhythm, and staying watchful are the things that help you have a patient strategy. This strategy is what you need to beat BALTEUS’s challenges and win.

• Missile Storm Move: This is when lots of missiles come at you. Make sure to avoid them quickly. 
• Backing Up and Missile Move: After the missile storm, BALTEUS moves back and shoots a giant missile, followed by two beeps. It is essential to dodge right before it hits because the explosion can still hurt you. 
• Quick Boost Move: BALTEUS uses its boosters to move away fast. Predicting where it’s going and moving that way is essential.
• Surprise Missile Attack: It’s best not to wait too near to avoid getting hurt.
• Side and Up-or-Down Missiles: BALTEUS shoots missiles upside down or left and right. Knowing their pattern helps you dodge. After this, you can attack.
• Fly-by Shooting Move: BALTEUS flies by and shoots its gun. Moving to the side enables you to dodge this. It’s hard to hit it back, so focus on not getting hit.

During the second phase, I felt as if Balteus had gotten even quicker, and he also brought out the flamethrower.

2. Avoiding the Single into Double Slash Combo: You need to balance defense and attack when BALTEUS does this combo. Tricks to dodge the first slash and then the double strike can help you not get hurt and stay in control.
3. Dodging the Diagonal Double Slash Attack: Being in the correct position matters when it tries this diagonal slash. If you’re in a good spot, you can avoid the attack and find chances to hit back.
4. Handling the Flamethrower and Its Slow Damage: BALTEUS’s flamethrower attack hurts over time. Have a fast plan to escape, like going up in the air, so you don’t receive much damage.
5. Dealing with BALTEUS’s Surprise Flamethrower Move: Being ready for surprise moves is essential. When BALTEUS suddenly uses the flamethrowers, moving around and attacking when it’s unprepared can help you fight back.

My Experience With The Boss Fight

Balteus might be one of the most challenging bosses I have ever faced. Not only was this boss quick, but he was also incredibly tanky. The only way to beat Balteus is not to get discouraged by defeat.

I consider this one of those enemies that you must face a few times before you fully understand his move set. Moreover, I cannot emphasize enough how important of a role your build will be during this fight. Even if you have incredible skills, you will not be able to win unless you have a build that works in your favor.
