All these Ghost Gear items are in the game hidden at various locations in secret chests. So, to get your hands on these cool items, you need to hunt and track down these hidden chests across the map. Ghost Scarf
As part of the standard costume, Jesse has an excellent red scarf wound around his neck in the game. In the second mission of the game “The Raid,” you can find a cosmetic skin for this scarf in one of the hidden chest boxes named “Ghost Scarf.” This upgrade changes the color of Jesse’s scarf, giving it a cool white look.
In the second mission of Evil West, “The Raid,” you attack an underground hideout of vampires. You can access the Lore menu of the game to check out the number of bucks and other collectibles that you can find hidden in this mission. Besides 11 pickups and four notes to pick, this mission also has a hidden chest that can be collected.
Just at the start of this mission, you can obtain the Rentier Rifle. The first enemy encounter in this mission comes near some wooden houses. After killing all of your enemies here, get inside wooden house right in front of you at which your enemies were shooting when you reached this location. Just as you enter the house, in the right corner, you will find a bag containing 30 bucks.
Finally, move further into the house, and in the next room on the left side, you will find a hidden chest that contains the Secret Scarf from the Evil West Ghost Gear. Collecting this scarf unlocks a skin for Jesse Rentier’s scarf and changes its color.

Ghost Rifle
Rentier Rifle in Evil West is probably one of the best long-range weapons, giving you an upper hand over your enemies by attacking them from a distance. It can also be upgraded, and perks can be applied to it, turning it into a lethal and brutal death machine. Moreover, like an X-bow, it doesn’t even need a charge; just a reload suffices.
In the game’s fifth mission, opening one of the secret chest boxes gives you the “Ghost Rifle” skin upgrade for your standard rifle. Applying this skin gives a badass look to your deadly rifle.
Players will encounter the Elites for one of the very first times in the fifth mission “The Devil’s Pass“. In this mission, towards the end, you get to fight the large vampires, along with unlocking the ability to electrocute your enemies. After this, you again confront a Vampire Highborn at the end of the level.
After killing this foe, come out of the cave where you were fighting and follow the blood tracks on the ground. Once these tracks end, a ladder will be visible on the right side to go down.
Start following this path down the ladder, and at the dead end, you will find a hidden chest. Finally, opening this chest will give you a Ghost Rifle. This is a cosmetic upgrade unlocking a cool skin for Jesse’s Rentier Rifle.
Ghost Zapper
Zapper is one of the deadliest tools in the game, being extremely useful and serving multiple purposes. First of all, it acts as a shield, protecting you from the attacks of enemies. Moreover, once charged, you can use it to electrocute and stun your enemies.
During any boss fights, it is always advisable to first stun all the smaller annoying enemies using your Zapper before proceeding to kill the boss.

Ghost Boomstick
Boomstick is surely something you must have to truly cherish the combat experience of Evil West. This deadly weapon not only inflicts excellent damage to your enemies but can also take out the attack blocks of enemies. Moreover, you can have a cool spooky skin for your Boomstick called the “Ghost Boomstick” in mission 9, “All Where Oil Tastes Like Blood” by opening a hidden treasure box.
You can collect three hidden chests and a 29 bucks in the Evil West’s ninth mission, “Where Oil Tastes Like Blood.” Into the campaign, you will reach a bridge where you will see TNT barrels on the left side, as shown below:

Ghost Hat
Every cowboy adventure is incomplete without the emblem of cowboys “The Cowboy Hat.” And in the adventures of Jesse Rentier in Evil West, you indeed have one. You can also have an excellent cosmetic upgrade for this hat in mission seven by opening a hidden chest box and finding the “Ghost Hat” skin.
The seventh mission in Evil West, “Smoke and Mirrors,” contain a total of 2 collectible hidden chests and a total of 24 bucks that can be picked from various hidden locations. These collectible stats are accessible from the Lore menu of the game. Nearly halfway through the mission, you get dropped down into a red pit where you must battle some leeches and a hoard of vampires.
After completing this battle, you move the hill toward the forest upward. On this path, you see a broken-down hut on the left side. Go to the back of the hut to find the entrance into the hut. Move into the hut toward the end of the hut. Finally, open the chest, and you will find a cosmetic upgrade for your Hat.
Ghost Revolver
Revolver is again one of the emblems of the Cowboy style, and you guessed it right! Jesse has one in the game. Moreover, you can even have an additional cosmetic skin for this Revolver called “Ghost Revolver” in mission 11 hidden in one of the chest boxes giving your Revolver a unique exquisite look.
Moving on to Mission 11 “A Man of People”, here you can collect a total of 19 bucks and 2 secret chests containing a Work-life balance perk and Ghost Revolver skin. These stats can also be checked from the Lore menu of the game. This mission introduces explosive bundles that help you to destroy enemy nests and save the town. There are a total of five such nests to be destroyed.
A little bit into the mission, you will blow up a nest right after a fight with an Elite. Look to the right for a glowing chain on the passage that is exposed after blowing up the nest. You will be able to climb up from that place and just moving a little forward you will find a hidden chest box to your left. Finally, opening this chest box will give you the Ghost Revolver cosmetic skin for your standard Rentier Revolver.
Ghost Suit
Besides the Suit that you can buy as a part of DLC from Steam for Jesse Rentier, you can also unlock one other suit for Jesse from within the game. Moreover, in the sixth mission “Remote RI Outpost“, you can find a chest box that unlocks the excellent “Ghost Suit” for your character, giving Jesse a deadly look and a killer swag.
The hidden chest containing this ghost suit can be found in the sixth mission, “Remote RI Outpost.” Besides this collectible, this mission also contains one additional hidden chest and 22 bucks that can be picked from various hidden locations throughout the mission. A little bit into the mission, you will have to fight a leecher just after getting the electricity upgrade for your pistol.
After killing this Leecher, follow the trail to the cave from which the Leecher crawled out. In this cave, start following the railway tracks, and just a bit far ahead, some foes will attack you. Kill them, and you will see a passage to your right.
After this, start moving in this direction and shoot the barrels before you. Blowing up these barrels exposes a passage at the start of which you will see a glowing post indicating that some vital collectible is nearby. Moreover, follow this path, and at the end, you will find the Hidden chest containing the Ghost Suit from the Evil West Ghost Gear.
Ghost Gauntlet
The gauntlet is one of the deadliest melee weapons in the game, allowing you to devastate hordes of enemies. Moreover, it becomes even more deadly once upgraded, allowing you to stun and destroy your enemies. And once you reach level 12, you can find badass cosmetic skin for your Gauntlet called the “Ghost Gauntlet” that fits perfectly for a horrific look to an already deadly weapon.
According to the game’s Lore menu, mission 12 “Lightning in a Bottle“, has a total of 2 hidden chest boxes and 19 bucks that can be collected throughout the mission. At a specific place in this mission, you will need to charge yourself electrically by pulling up some switches.
Once you are in this location, keep your eye open for some glowing object above your head. There will be a dangling chain hanging down, but you cannot reach it.
Shoot this glowing chain using one of your long-range weapons. The chain will drop down, allowing you to climb up this chain. Moving to your right, you will find the hidden chest box containing your Ghost Gauntlet skin for your standard Gauntlet.
Note:
It might be that you are at a certain point in your campaign that you have missed collecting one of these hidden chest boxes from the mission location. But you don’t need to worry because you can always replay the missions and find the hidden chests even once you have already played a mission.
